thanks for the articles. The FBI article raises my concerns about the ability to misuse the covid 19 tracking apps too.

This has been a worry of mine for a number of years. The UK government has been trying to sell access to the anonymized NHS database for years but keeps getting blocked as it's too easy to identify individuals. The potential for good analysis of a huge medical database (i'm led to believe it's one of, if not the, largest…

There was a 15th Doctor - Peter Cushing played him in the 1965 movie - Dr. Who and the Daleks and a 1966 film Daleks - Invasion Earth:2150 A.D.

not doing very well this month. the lack of a hint is causing me to guess but that's my issue. Q2 doesn't seem to have a correct answer as one option seems wrong and one option is only right for some of the issues - not all.

Or an option given to view the next 1000.

The pre-crimes AI could be dangerous. smacks of jailing you for a crime you might commit in the future. There'd be no one left that wasn't a member of the policing forces.

I'm a Network Engineer. I don't use SAM.

It might be the type of ssh being used. I've found some times you need to set to use ssh V1 or SSH V2 only in order to get the desired effect. Auto will try both but I'm not sure of the order so I'd try V2 only first.

Thanks Mesverrum. That's exactly what I needed.

Thanks Mesverrum. I'll give that a go.

Thanks Mark I've used the worldmap properties before but it's been a manual process and only really available to the Administrators. or at least it's been a bit complicated to get an ordinary user adding a node and updating the World map fields.
-
Looks Good have you done anything with Worldmaps? such as allow automatic geolocation to use a custom field rather than the default SNMP location field.

Seem to remember having a similar issue but it wasn't just Solarwinds that could not access. I believe that we resolved by stopping and restarting the ssh service. enabling telnet temporarily would allow this to be done remotely. Worth checking that the crypto key generation has been done and checking that the routing is…

On this subject I've recently completed 3 surveys and had the points added for one of them. unfortunately as the points for two of the surveys were the same I don't know which survey I've been credited for and therefore which survey to chase for the points. It would be helpful if instead of the undefined against the points…

I've had similar issues. I've asked questions and marked one as the correct answer but not had the mission credits.

Could do with more info out of these. we're expecting to implement more of them.

Thanks Good article. Just got to find part 4

Hi I think you need to update the latitude (world Map) and Longitude(world map) field to place the nodes onto the map. You can access them by adding in the columns in the custom property editor which is on option on the manage nodes screen. I've been asking for a while for the Automatic geolocation facility to work off of…

We have it but I'm not involved in the day to day running of the server. I just use the Solarwinds elements. We have lots of our own plus customer devices monitored and we report from Solarwinds on this. so the need for high availabilty is quite pressing. We're not on the latest versions at the moment (due this month or…

I've managed to create the basis of the report I was trying to generate but I'm struggling to get this onto the NOC view. A quick search around the website suggests that there isn't an easy way to get the web based report onto the view. Given the deprecation of report writer this seems a bit of an oversight. I'm hoping…

Thanks for the article. Looking to use this in a slightly modified way. As we have multiple customers looking to reduce the alerts down to an individual customer so we can present just the relevant alerts to the customer's help desk.

Thanks for the posting. I've finally found the time to start reading this.
