been in the industry for over 35 years now. I hadn't really thought about my legacy been too busy trying to pull the company out from their current legacy equipment towards a bright new legacy. I expect I'll still be doing it in 5-10 years.

Thanks for the Article. The idea of "right size" has been with me since the 1990's. Things only work and the benefits are only realized when the solution is the correct one.

Thanks for the Article. I've always advocated "Right Size". If the best fit for the application is the cloud then put ti there - If not then don't.

Have to say the move towards secure passwords always seemed to me to be not enough. you end up with users not remembering the password or simple substitution that Computers can easily be made to try. Far better to use two or three random words to make up you password rather than special characters and numbers.

Would the car even detect that there's a falling object. the design is to scan 360 degrees in the horizontal plane not a dome. Maybe the extra extra safe version includes that.

Seen it so many times. Along with the catch all phrase "it'll be fixed in phase 3" but the Technical Architect leaves before that ever happens and you're left clutching at straws trying to support the unsupportable.

In our premises the mainframe team retired when the Mainframe did. Having said that the mainframe could have been looked upon as a large Server with lots of virtual servers, bit like VM. Lots of IT people were frightened of it because they didn't understand it.
