I am one of those users who would like it to be accessible from the Web. I'm very much for all of Orion's "tools" to be web-based if at all possible so that it's consistent. If it has to be an application, then that's fine.

New UI, the above mentioned NetPath. Those are the two things i'm excited about.
-
Would love to see this as well. At least for knowing where spanning is taking place, maybe also showing the VTP status of devices participating in a STP map as well.

I just voted for this. This would be awesome. If we were able to subscribe it it via ICS or something that's work. Or maybe an OWA integration where it can use the calendar from an account. I don't know which one is better but something, even a static calendar would be awesome.

I'm super excited for the features being brought in NPM 12. How do I get access to the release candidate(s)?

I think we all understand HOW you're currently licensing the modules, but we don't agree with it. In my opinion, the simple fact is that assuming that we have more network equipment monitored than server equipment. the netflow and voip are useful ONLY for routers and switches, but what if you had more elements being used…

That fixed the issue. After the reinstall and creating new databases NCM integrated with NPM properly and all options work now. I just checked viewing some config files on a switch after doing some import.
-
I'm in the same boat. I need the netflow, voip, and apm module. APM isnt' a problem since it doesn't need to be the same level. voip and netflow are b/c I need twice as many basic monitoring elements with Orion, and prebably less than 100 element/nodes for netflow and voip. It's really hard to get the funding for this when…

Ticket number is 126732. They said it was being sent to development for review. lol. Hopefully there will be a quick fix for this. I'm itching to get energywise working.
-
Yeah, that was one of the first things i checked. I'm building another server and creating a new database. I'll post back here to see if i still get the messages.
-
I just put a ticket in. I'll update the thread when I get the ticket number.

Yeah, I thought it was weird that the recurrence policies reappeared as well. I even check both NPM and the switch (through the CLI) to see if there were any recurrence policies. Both said none existed. Then I created new ones through NPM, both switch and NPM said they were correct. A few hours later, I check and both the…

I reinstalled NCM and had it create a new empty database. This fixed my problem. Inventory now works properly and the Compliance tab appeared! I still have errors on the NPM website, so I will try reinstalling that with a clean database. If the database is corrupted, is there any way to salvage it? (I don't really need…

That didn't help. Could it be a database issue? This is a brand-new install on a formatted server. THe only thing i carried over is the database. Would it be advantageous to just start over? It shouldn't take me too much time.

I switched to working with the DHCP User Experience monitor to check dhcp status, but with novell it doesn't respond on port 67 or 68. I have verified that DHCP is in fact running on the server I tried to test port 67 and 68. Did I mention that I dislike Novell?

I'm going to open a support case tomorrow. After verifying it on the switch AND on Orion that my policies were right, I went home happy. I just checked the policies and NPM says I have only 4 policies, which are wrong. It shows the 3 correct policies, plus the policy that sets the power level to 2 Fri-Sun at 9pm. That…

I just looked i the NTM thwack forum and the last "what we're working on" is from 2015. I think it's reasonable to understand that we are concerned about the future in that it's now 2017 and we don't know what is coming, if anything. I think that makes the issue worse that we don't hear from you (Solarwinds), we ask "is…

So this OID, .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.4.2 is a table with all running processes, process IDs, status info, parameters etc. This OID, .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.4.2.1.7 is an integer value that says "running". This is the status info that I want to put into APM for monitoring a particular service. Is there any problems with monitoring this…

Right? My mind exploded when I found that out. I expected to be fighting with remediation for awhile and it just all lined up. I'd love to see some good uses for it. If you come up with anything cool, share with the class?

FYI, my problems started when I upgraded Orion to 9.1 and Voip Monitor to SP3.

No current roadmap sounds like no future to me. I'm not interested in investing time in a product if you (Solarwinds) are also not intersted in investing time into the product. I'm just going to stick with their core products. Outside of that, meh. I really don't think this would be a huge problem if they didn't keep it to…

Thanks Brandon! That's what I was looking for. I know I could do it in the DB, but I try not to do that ever. A good product doesn't make you muck around with the DB for this kind of thing. :) I figured there was a GUI way of doing it that I was overlooking.

I'm using Orion 9 SP2. It might be a bad install. I'll post a screen shot of these things.
-
I'm pretty sure that would work just fine. if you're using the IOS-based one, and not the lightweight ones, it should work just like any other snmp-enabled access point. If you have an extra available node, i'd just add one to see if it works. Otherwise, i can add one to see if it would help you, but i really don't see a…

3 weeks and nothing...

I am having this same issue as well. I am running windows 2008 server as well as SQL server 2008. I just noticed after i upgraded some switches and their SNMP discovered information never changed.

Here's a screen shot of this. I have 12 vms assigned to this server, with 11 that are running. But i'm only being shown 2 VMs. From Solarwinds Errors

The closest thing I've tried with this was to create a UnDP poller that polled for a list of running processes by name. Then I created an alert that would trigger if the process I was monitoring did not appear in the list. I used OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.23.2.28.9.1.1.2 for this purpose but I noticed OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.4.2.1.2…
