might try interfaces.Edge_Reporting_End <> 'False' just for grins. Or create a group with dynamic membership (same logic) and reference the group rather than the custom property. Can't seem anything inherently wrong with what you're doing, so just throwing out random suggestions in case one works.

Per page 159 of Dell PowerConnect 55xx Systems User Guide, you should be able to do this via traps: 3 Enter the following parameters: – System Usage Threshold (1-99 Percent) — Enter the percentage of power consumed before a trap is generated. – Traps — Enable/disable traps if system usage goes over the threshold. If you do SNMPv2 does it work for you? I'm suggesting a test that you perform quickly and then reconfigure for v3. This could help validate SNMP connectivity end-to-end.

If * the monitored devices are Linux/ UNIX/ Windows * latency and bandwidth are reasons for monitoring communications unreliability then monitoring via agents can help. ref: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/Content/Core-SolarWinds-Orion-Agents-sw467.htm.

Via Manage Nodes --> Edit Properties, you have options to change a node's polling interval: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/orionplatform/Content/Core-Editing-Node-and-Interface-Properties-sw1487.htm #5 To change the existing polling intervals, provide new intervals in the Node Status Polling,…

Of course. Run a packet capture on your SolarWinds server and you can see this in action. From a Windows command prompt, run a ping -t to the IP of something and block pings (using host or network firewall). Your unanswered pings will result in a device that is down from a monitoring perspective. Easily demonstrated if you…

What are the downsides to skipping an upgrade? If I pass on 10.7 and then install 10.7.1 or 10.8, is it likely that I will be required to download and install the version I skipped before installing the one I want? We use NCM, VNQM, SAM, and IPAM in case that should be a consideration. I don't think I've ever skipped an…

Do you currently use custom properties? For example, a property named client applied to each node? Create a discovery against all involved node names or IP addresses. There is some native F5 monitoring in NPM: Monitor services delivered by F5 BIG-IP load balancers Do you have the server and application monitoring module (SAM)? You can monitor IIS via that module (for example HTTP GET looking for a 200 response and for presence of certain words on the text).

You can also limit what you view (this doesn't limit polling): Assign views by device type

Do you need this to work in Firefox? Chrome? IE? When I've done this, configuring the browser for the protocol <--> application relationship was all that was necessary for Firefox and Chrome. Sounds like things are working as well as they are going to, and it seems SNMP communication is succesful given the 1070+ OIDs that respond. I've seen this behavior before. Perhaps something to do with SysObjectID? It can give the false impression that SNMP is not working. Is the Vendor / Machine Type detected? In my case,…

If your alerts had thresholds that were a custom property rather than an absolute value, changes to that property would be captured automatically. Acknowledgement of alerts is captured automatically. But for anything else, nothing comes to mind.
