Regarding Report Writer crashing every time you try to make it work to hard, my workaround is to do as much as possible via GUI and then switch it to a SQL query. The GUI helps me see which tables I want and a basic understanding of the SQL involved and gets me most of the way there usually. (What I know about SQL I know…

Does an SNMPwalk to the OIDs involved yield values that you expect? If so, what are the OIDs?
-
If you click Edit in upper right corner you may be able to remove the subtitle.

I guess they will never come back, but I really miss Jarts (lawn darts). Remember those? Like a cross between beanbag toss and javelin throwing, with a smidgeon of danger... For extra danger, add libations. Note: I am not in favor of jorts coming back, perhaps jarts though.

Update on this: In one of two environments, I was able to add the desired group when a system administrator searched with his account. It was recommended that I add 'AD DS and AD LDS Tools' feature/ role. Ironically the environment in which I was able to add a group was not the one where I added 'AD DS and AD LDS Tools'.…

Isn't there some risk for the end users who have already CAC authenticated? Wouldn't want to create a "career-limiting event".

Case # 635409 - unable to add groups

It would be cool if permissions checker utility could check this in some way.

Hmmm...you can validate whether F5 can reach an IP out on the internet: https://devcentral.f5.com/questions/virtual-server-using-external-site-as-pool-member-routing-problem iRule to ping host Can you add 8.8.8.8 as a virtual server and set up a ping health check? (Wonder if that would respond to pings...) Not that you…

Definitely agree. UNDPs for Infoblox devices are painful. Should we revisit this Aug 5, 2015 as we seem to have a pattern here?

kbryk90 - Enviromux made by NTI, in case that helps.

Combined with CASE command, I can see this working. SQL Server: CASE Statement

Don't forget to reapply the limitations if applicable. Might want to consider creating an account with no limitations for times like this...or just remove limitations as you just did. Editing via the database has not burned me (yet). Knock on wood.

Thanks Tim. I'll do some research on RDL.

I recall making a report like this via Report Writer. Have you tried that?
-
As simple as this report is, I believe showing how to get this information has more value than sharing the report itself. Teaching to fish versus giving a fish. Creating a report from scratch will help one realize the power of ReportWriter. Having said that, it's a little surprising that this functionality is not native to…

Maybe he already figured it out...been two weeks.

Happy to help s-bolyard . With such a cavalier attitude toward security, you may find that your boss has issues on other fronts. You wouldn't want to be the next ransomware victim. Maybe you can get a security assessment done somehow to show where work is needed.

Are you using dependencies currently? When you say 'value is outside normal tolerance' are you referring to CPU and memory? If so, which thresholds do you use to define normal? When you say 'check the health of the application', what are your plans? I would assume you aren't asking in the context of SAM module as this is…

Happy to help, @_scarmen

(I don't mean this to be RTFM / flippant/ rude) The forums are great, but for just getting your head around SolarWinds NPM, the admin guide will be quite helpful. You will have questions that will arise from any answers given via this forum. We've all been there. There are admin guides for other modules, but this should be…

The dynamic query option in the top right is where the magic is happening (since you don't want to manually maintain this group and eventually forget to add those new nodes to it):
-
For the interfaces that may not be worthy of this view/ resource, are they already configured as 'unpluggable'? Might be a way to leverage that in a query (or even your group, or a new group that by definition excludes the interfaces of lesser importance). I would mention custom properties for desired or undesired…
-
With enough parentheses and logical operators you can achieve quite a bit this way.
-
Have you made a view limitation? https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Adding-View-Limitations-Video For your groups, dynamically populate wherever possible as in step 5: Create groups For populating the properties, you may prefer.to do this offline via a spreadsheet as described here: Success Center Note…

Sorry for the delay in responding. I was hoping for a summary type of chart in that multiple environmental devices would be listed with their respective results (specifically both nodes that have the pair of pollers assigned). If I'm not mistaken, your solution is specific to only one node, correct?
-
I'm seeing that exact error on NCM 7.3 (No devices to run job on this engine).

">jim080 for the nodes you want to see but can't, try getting in the Database Manager, find the involved nodes in the Nodes table, make the table writable, and then make your change there. Should restore web accessibility for you.

For ReportWriter to see your custom properties, you will need to update report schemas. I suspect this is also the case with Advanced Alerts. This might help: Launch Custom Property Editor. Right-click the top near the icons...click Customize. Select the Commands tab. Click Update Report Schemas. Drag that to where the…
