Hi, It looks like SQL Server 2016 (once available) with the "Always Encrypted" feature could solve this: http://blogs.technet.com/b/dataplatforminsider/archive/2015/05/04/sql-server-2016-public-preview-coming-this-summer.aspx Jiri

Unfortunately no news.

Your rule has the form Condition1 AND Condition2. As Condition2 is violated, the whole rule is violated. The violation details gives you the full information: Condition1 met by line 63 and Condition2 violated by line 65. If I understand you correctly, you would like NCM to highlight that the violation of the whole rule is…

Yes, NPM 11 and NCM 7.2.2 are compatible. Jiri

Byron Anderson, according to statistics we have from real customer upgrades, the data migration for your DB sizes shouldn't take more than 1 hour. E.g. one customer with only slightly smaller databases upgraded in about 30 minutes. (They have almost complete Orion portfolio.) Customers using SSDs for storage upgrade even…

As discussed offline, Justin referrs to Win32 client. The ‘Execute Script’ functionality in Win32 client is synchronous. If you use this functionality from Web UI, multiple sessions run in parallel. (How many – you can configure in NCM settings; talking about v7.1.) As the long-term plan is to decommission Win32 GUI,…

You can see the nodes in the "Nodes for each Vulnerability" report. However, I agree we could improve the user experience with this resource; this is a reasonable request. Jiri
-
Would you please share your code? I tried it myself and it works. I tried it with NCM 7.4 RC, but when I wrote this post back in 2012, 7.1.1 was the version I used.
-
Yes! This is somehting we are currently working on. See https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-176930#start=50 .
-
No news, unfortunately. Yes, Richard is right.
-
We do not plan enhancements to the Policy Reporter as all NCM functionality is planned to be moved to Web eventually.

Simon, This is what engineering told me: Almost all NCM table names remain the same with just added ‘NCM_’ prefix. There are several exceptions from this rule: * Nodes table remains, but now this is Orion Nodes. All NCM related node properties are stored now in NCM_NodeProperties table. * NCM_ConfigArchive table now stores…

In fact yes. The official description of the RC content is available here: SolarWinds NCM 7.3 Release Candidate is Available!. The RC content is generally the same (very similar) as the final release; differences are rare. Jiri

Definitely. Please sign up for the Beta. Jiri

newkidd2 The RC is available now: Network Configuration Manager v7.4 Release Candidate is Available!. Jiri

Hi newkidd2, You can find the updated post here: What Are We Working on for Kiwi Syslog After 9.4 Regards, Jiri

Hi Dan, We are ver well aware of the need for multi-vendor info for EoL/EoS. Unfortunately, I'm not able to say when we add data for a particular vendor. Regards, Jiri
-
I'm afraid we are not going to implement this feature as it would be seen as a major security problem by many customers.
-
Hi deverts, Could you maybe illustrate your question with a screenshot? I'm not sure I understand it fully. Thanks, Jiri
-
This is just the default role. After you create the accout, you can switch its NCM role to "None". Sorry, I should have mentioned that in my first reply.
-
This request refers to Firmware vulnerability reporting introduced in NCM 7.4. NX-OS is not supported (yet). Jiri
-
In this context, both config change templates and scripts work in the same way. I think you could achieve this by the following sequence: set password password password Regards, Jiri
-
Please find the updated post here: Jiri
-
You can use NCM to achieve this. This is a clear config management use case which doesn't fit UDT functionality.
-
This was added in NCM 7.4. Mentioned e.g. here: Network Configuration Manager v7.4 Beta2 is Available!
-
Do you have support case # so that I can confirm easier? Thanks, Jiri
-
Hi kindbro, By default, a copy of each downloaded config is stored in the config archive. If not, you can create an export job. All the reports can also be exported. Regards, Jiri
