Hi 1ashgarg, Have you configured the device in NCM to use the same protocol (telnet/SSH) and port as in Engineering toolset? Regards, Jiri

There are several ways to remove the node just from NCM. E.g. Configs -> Configuration Management -> select the node(s) -> Edit properties -> set Manage node(s) with NCM to No/Never Or, go to Settings -> Manage Nodes -> select the node(s) -> More Actions -> Remove Nodes from NCM. I can add screenshots if still unclear. Jiri

Hi Geoff, you can create the script to upgrade IOS yourself using e.g. the example provided in the Administrator Guide. (See here, chapter 19 -- Common Tasks.) If you want, you can include the verify command (or any other command you want) in the script. Don't hesitate to ask if you have further questions. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, I suggest that you upgrade to the newest version first. Regards, Jiri

Hi, The desktop application is going to be decomissioned in the upcoming NCM 7.4 release. Up to 7.3.2, the thick client is still there. Regards, Jiri

Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if it is possible to back up an F5 load balancer using SNMP? In general, you can trigger a config backup through SNMP, but the actual tranfer will require TFTP. I don't know if F5 devices support this option. Regards, Jiri

Hi smilodon, What kind of physical and logical network resources do you mean and what exactly would you like to monitor about them? Thanks, Jiri
-
Hi John, I suppose you know but to be sure -- also for the others: There is an export config job (in Win32 client) that you can use to copy the backed up configs somewhere else. The path must be accessible from NCM server but e.g. network drive is good. Regards, Jiri

rschroeder, Are you sure you are talking about NCM 7.4 HotFix2? HF2 only formally ships device template for Allied Telesis. Aren't you talking about HF1? NCM v7.4.0 Hot Fix 1 is Now Available Jiri

Hi, If you upgraded from a system where there were config backup jobs, too, you could now have two backup jobs. Have you inspected all your jobs? Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, Could you please share more details? The steps I would take are: * Go to NCM Web UI * Configs -> Configuration Management -> Execute Script * Type the script, select nodes and execute. * Then you can check the result Regards, Jiri

Hi itszasecret, please post session trace. (Can be turned on in Win32 File -> Settings.) Regards, Jiri

Hi, This is currently not possible. It has been tracked as feature req. #159490. Regards, Jiri

Hi mwill, If I understand you correctly, you are trying to test the connection details: What does the result of the test look like? Regards, Jiri

Shad, The variable you are looking for is SysDescr. So, your statement should read if ( @node.SysDescr contains 'NX-OS' ) You might also want to use the option "Write config to NVRAM" directly in the interface: Regards, Jiri

Hi, the information that you are looking for can be found in the following threads: Regards, Jiri

Orwin, If you ask whether IPAM can do it automatically (e.g. integrate with vCenter via some API) then no -- it's a known feature request: . You must reserve the IP address manually in IPAM Web UI. Jiri

Hi achowsy, NCM doesn't need Internet access for the EoL/EoS feature to work. The data is updated with every release. We are working on a more flexible way, but it will definitely support offline NCM deployments. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi jaisonterai, What is the ultimate goal of the migration? Do you want to have NCM completely standalone, decoupled from NPM (also in the Wen UI)? Regards, Jiri
-
Hi mar1, In the Win32 client, when you select a node, you can import configuration (e.g. a text file) using drag-and-drop. Regards, Jiri

Hi, Yes, there is a way to reset the password. Let me send you the steps offline. Jiri
