Hi JonnyG, the Win32 client is currently the only option. Regards, Jiri

Hi, In short: Upgrade NPM first and then install NCM 7.2.2 on the same server. Then, during NCM config wizard, you select the existing NCM database. Details of the whole process can be found in NCM admin guide under "Case 2: Move NCM Standalone and Integrate with NPM". Alternatively, if you want to participate in NCM 7.3…

Hi noobes, I believe what you need is 'Execute Script' functionality. If you take a look at node details (in Win32) or edit node properties (in Web UI), you will see the protocol etc. Regards, Jiri

Hi Matthew, Unless someone else replies, I'm not aware of that report being available. Translating the law to policy checks is always difficult. Please remember to upload the report to the content exchange once you create it. Good luck! Jiri

Hi, It's difficult to identify the problem without further information. Basic checks: Is this a multi-poller environment? If yes, is NCM additional poller installed on the server with polling engine to which this device is assigned to? Aren't there any problems with connectivity between main Orion server and additional…

Hi, There's no way to recover stored passwords. In fact, such possibility would be a security hole that wouldn't be tolerated by many other customers. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi Samantha, What kind of information are you looking for exactly? Regards, Jiri
-
You can define custom properties -- one would identify the switches and the other one the interface on that switch. Then you can write a script or config change template (to add the VLAN or whatever) and run in on the desired set of nodes (identified by a distinct value of the first custom property). Jiri

Hi saroop, I can help you with the NCM part, but I can't help you with the device part. What version of NCM are you running? Regards, Jiri

Hi ">ttl, We have been investigating your question. We can definitely say .NET 3.5 is not required because of Web Access -- it is needed by the new licensing framework. Enginnering also tried to replicate the IIS installation -- they have verified that IIS is not installed by default when Web interface is not installed.…

Hi Chris, with help of our dev team, I have update for you. The resource "Overall Devices Backed Up vs. All Devices" gets its data from the Backup_vs_AllNodes NCM table. Are there any rows since April 14th? This table is populated by ‘SolarWinds Orion NCM Caching Service’ automatically once per day. Please check if this…

Hi, to back up linux configuration, it's better to use the indirect method (i.e. TFTP or SCP) as described in this thread. Regards, Jiri

Hi harold de nava, When you restart Orion services, the pending items should be cleaned. However, it would be good to find out why that happened. Working with the device on a one-by-one bases and enabling session traces (Settings -> NCM Settings -> Advanced Settings) should help. Regards, Jiri

Hi Anandan, Yes, there is Orion SDK -- http://thwack.solarwinds.com/community/labs_tht/orion-sdk Regards, Jiri
-
Hi bigmclargehuge, Are you sure it's SFTP? NCM only supports "direct download" (grab terminal output), TFTP, and SCP. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, If I understand correctly what you want to achieve, you have to: * Download the config change template from thwack and save it locally on NCM server. * Go to NCM Web Console -> Config Change Templates * Use the import button to import the template that you downloaded. * Select the imported template and press 'Define…

Hi wjcmalana, I searched our support DB and found out that you were able to fix the problem yourself. If you find a minute, could you please post here a bit more details about the issue and solution? Thanks, Jiri

What version of NCM do you use? NCM 7.4 should exit gracefully after it downloads a config or executes a script. Jiri
-
Hi, yes, you have to click on "Script Results" for every device. This task is more convenient to do in the Win32 application. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, I found out you have already entered the feature request -- https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3939. Regards, Jiri
