Roberto, NCM can't process output of CLI commands but you should be able to reach your goal anyway. Your nodes must be inventoried first. Then copy the script BaseChangeTemplate(NCM.Nodes @ContextNode) { foreach (@interfaceItem in @ContextNode.Interfaces) { foreach(@ip in @interfaceItem.IpAddresses) { if (@ip.IPAddress…

Actually, in NCM 7.4, all you have to do is define at least one connection profile. Then you can schedule daily discovery and all new network devices will be added to NCM. If you have scheduled jobs to back up and inventory your devices, you should be good. Jiri

I replied here: Re: Need a command for F5 to remote copy to server Jiri

Hi, I'd like to discuss your concerns in detail. Let me contact you offline. Jiri

Mark, One possibility to overcome the complexity of selection criteria is creating a standalone custom property with values that distinguish the sets of nodes for different jobs. Then, you can create conditions like MyProperty is CustXlabA or MyProperty is CustXlabB. I don't understand your system of selecting nodes for…

Looks like a pretty tricky device. I remember a support case regarding square bracket in the prompt -- but don't remember what the result was. The enable password may be used even if the device uses something different in place of the standard "Enable" command. To the config archive settings. I doubt that <Command…

That's strange. Glad to hear that you figured it out. Jiri
-
It looks like there's something broken -- will you please open a support case? Jiri
-
Hi, Please open a support ticket. That would be the most efficient way to find a resolution. Regards, Jiri

Don, NCM 7.4 is the latest one. The End of life feature doesn't need Internet access to work. I also recommend looking at the NCM Smart Advisor utility mentioned by HolyGuacamole below. Just be sure to satisfy all prerequisites mentioned in…

Try to google something out. When you manually verify set of commands that work, I can help you with the NCM template. Jiri

Oh, I see. Either there's only a reference, or there's the whole certificate. I'm not sure why it doesn't work if you enable all the criteria from the screeshot. Could you please open a support case? I don't see any obvious problem here. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, Please see . Of course, we can't promise any specific dates. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, I think it would be better to post these questions to SEUM forum. This is NCM, so I don't think you can get much assistance here. Regards, Jiri
-
Ismo, Maybe I'm getting you wrong, but why would you want to import servers, printers etc. into NCM at all? Regards, Jiri
-
Sorry for the delay. You can try one of the device templates from the content exchange: Network Configuration Manager. Filter by for "F5". Regards, Jiri
-
They look like defaults modified by you -- see my previous response. J.

If they are modified default items, then it's a known bug that we're going to fix. I suggest that you create these two from scratch and delete the instances that get disabled. That might help. Jiri

Sorry, I've read your post more carefully the second time. Not sure if this is the source of the problem, but the command to disable pagination should go to the Reset command. I.e. in your case <Command Name="Reset" Value="config paging disable"/> <Command Name="DownloadConfig" Value="show run-config commands"/> This is…

Then I guess you should open a support ticket. Jiri Od: SolarWinds Community Team Odesláno: Thursday, July 18, 2013 12:58 PM Komu: Cvachovec, Jiri Předmět: Re: - Cannot Sync NCM and Orion Core Database thwack<thwack.solarwinds.com/index.jspa> Cannot Sync NCM and Orion Core Database created by…

Hi, The syntax you indicated is used in device templates. If you want NCM to execute a script to save the config, you can do it directly from the UI -- no need for changing the device template. Or do you want to save the config before you download it? Please describe you use case, so that we could help you in the most…

Glad to help. Jiri

Thanks, Will. Working with customers gives me a big portion of professional satisfaction. I'm really not surprised that you guys come up with things we didn't believe were possible. To me this is similar to the situation when kids can do something their parents can't. It's a great feeling. Ideas that we find on thwack…

Thanks for clarification. Then Kiwi Syslog is not the tool you are looking for. It's meant for IT professionals to monitor network and other devices. Regards, Jiri

Hi, there's no supported way of merging the installations. You have to install SRM to the other Orion server, add the storage arrays, and transfer the license.

Just as usually, we can't comment on ETA.

The file name must be Cisco IronPort-1.3.6.1.4.1.15497.1.1.1.ConfigMgmt-Commands Have you succeeded? Jiri

Ok, thanks!

Tony, It looks like you want to remove those device from NCM completely. This can be done in Settings -> NCM Settings -> Add or Manage Nodes. There you can select the nodes you don't want in NCM and click on "Remove Nodes from NCM". Jiri

Well, when you are in the middle of upgrades, you can continue and upgrade from 7.2.2 to 7.4. Just if you have NPM, you must upgrade it to 11.5.2 first. Jiri
