I really want a T-Shirt with this "Guardians" logo on it...

I think DanielleH is saying (I hope she's saying) that the THWACK team are aware of those purchases, the process is just a lot more manual than it used to be, so you will still get loot, just more slowly. I was all excited to get my lanyard and badge reel too...

Yay! It's almost like I'm a contributing member of THWACK again!

I ran into the issue that the answer is CaSe SeNsItIvE, so you have to enter it exactly right to get it to the next screen. The answer is in the YouTube video hint, though.

I'm afraid this is a "working as expected." Windows either generates all the events for a watched file, or none of them. The Agent has no means of filtering or excluding events from reaching LEM.

A company I worked with had a fancy conference room that looked through a window into a server room full. About 4 full-sized racks with Cisco, Avaya and Mitel equipment that they used for demos for customers, because blinky lights are cool. This server room had it's own A/C unit, and an ancient system for sending texts to…

I'm getting this too. Questions 16 and 17 were blank, and when I tried to exit and go back in, it said I had completed the survey.

I'm sorry, your raccoon administrator hasn't added you to the sudoers list. This violation has been logged.

SHIELD =/= SHEILD. I before E!

Episode 8 airs tonight, and I have some thoughts on Mr. Robot. I'm going throw a ******POTENTIAL SPOILERS FROM EPISODES 2 THRU 7**** because I might accidentally give something away. * I'm not sure I buy the "real world is our encryption" thought of fsociety. Yes, Mr. Robot (Slater) makes a big deal of the hacker ring…

* How are patches applied to the VM?* Directions on how to apply upgrades to the LEM appliance are available in the Upgrade Guide and start on Page 12. You will need a CIFS share that the LEM can reach and credentials for that share. * Details on how to apply the Connector Updates are available here. The process has…

Took me a few stabs (and me finding a clip of MI:3 on YouTube) to get the answers to question 1. Then I felt silly.

I placed an order this morning for the lanyard and "job security" reel, will someone follow-up?

And that's when you send the InfoSec guys after the person splashing in the ice-cube tray with the flashy thing from MIB or a melon-baller to remove a part of their brain. Ice-pick lobotomies can help keep corporate data secure! Look for that as a possible response action in an upcoming version of LEM! (Just kidding, but…

The major issue with e-mailing reports is that e-mail has limits that the reports can easily exceed. Even if you have an internal limit of 15 or 20MB, the reports can exceed that and fail to be sent. I believe that's why the decision was made to skip that feature. It is possible to have LEM send an e-mail when a report…

But why would they need NPM?

I just got the Master Chief Collection on XBONE and it looks amazing!

ecklerwr1 I actually copied the letter into Notepad, Courier New being less ambiguous, and I'm pretty sure the letter is wrong, not the font. Letter 9 wasn't ambiguous. dendob Here's hoping Belgium makes the list! Still, I can't think of Belgium without thinking of Douglas Adams and the most Gratuitous Use of Belgium in a…

On the other hand, we've seen a lot of games move to cloud mode, or require constant access to servers to operate. And then the manufacturers completely drop the ball on architecting and scaling their side of things to handle the number of users, which is even "funnier" when they insist on driving a pre-order industry…

Clue 13's "Click here for a hint" link isn't a link, and Clue 14's hint has an extra space at the end of the URL, so you get a 404 error unless you remove the %20 at the end of the link. Still, week 3 complete!

Are the points being awarded in batches? I saw about 750 come through, but I really want that hoodie!

tried to add my new lic file to lem 5.5. failed! support could not find a soln. then they told me that new lic files are not compatible with 5.5 and earlier. why is that not documented? There were e-mails sent from the licensing team to customers with LEM versions 5.5 or previous to inform them that the license would…

I don't have anything on my screens that I haven't shared in a bunch of demos (maybe with you!). I obfuscated the neighbor's cube to protect the innocent.

It would have been around 7:30-8:30 MDT, I closed the tab and I don't have e-mails, so I can't be more precise than that.

I'm guessing the spam is back, or have I done something wrong to get on the "moderated" list?

In high school, I helped teach a summer course to teachers about Microsoft Office. This earned me an Intel Bunny like this guy. I still have it somewhere. My last job, I earned some kudos when I chewed out a group of network engineers in a drunken state (it was 1:30 AM and I had been told work was done for the day and had…

Admittedly, they got to the end of Episode 8, and they still haven't actually done anything with the (totally not) Iron Mountain hack, so it could be that the data storage company doesn't have any reason (as of 4 episodes later) to even be looking for an intrusion. Also, was that thermostat in a bathroom? Seemed like a…

Your link to GNS3 is missing a colon!

The LEM is meant to be deployed as a virtual appliance, and as far as I've seen, getting the old SIM hardware isn't an option. Ideally, you'd be deploying the LEM on HyperV from Microsoft or on ESXi from VMWare. Personally, I've had success deploying the OVA (VMWare image) using Oracle's VirtualBox. It's not a solution I'd…

Ditto, same thing.
