The challenge for us is procurement update the asset registry when placing the PO then the installers or build room team add the asset numbers when the goods arrive or when the deploy or distribute the goods. Hey man I was using Excel files as this is easier to use to clean up the data coming from ITSM. That said I had the vendor do some testing with a copy of our database and import data and they found the fault does not occur with CSV format. Let me know how you go I just completed 20,400 asset imports :)

Thank you for the prompt reply, I tried this and yes it does select all instances which is great, however the bulk action will not save the specified asset type when I open it after saving it reverts to blank asset type 

I have another issue, I imported 8000 items (laptops) but had to give them the asset type "item" now I need to change item to laptop on 7000 + assets. I can see you can do a "bulk action" on up to 100 items this would take hours to do... PS Just remember' in THWACK, nobody can hear you scream!

Hey there I note nobody got back to you on this. Have you found a solution? I'm in a similar boat. I imported thousands of assets when testing WHD now I want to rip them out but you can't deleted bulk Purchase Orders ....

Percy my apologies, I found that the PO I'd imported did not have enough lines hence the error! I added another with more lines and hocus pocus it worked . Thanks for your help
