Solarwinds Support re-ran the Orion Configuration Wizard and that fixed it.

In 20 years, everyone and their pets might all have Body Area Networks with an EB of storage. Though, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data will still most likely have value, along with the entities vying for that value.

Quint would have gained the trust of the Jamaican Council with his fierce protection of the colony from sharks, thereby securing his demands for 25% to port ( and are we sure this did not happen after Morgan's privateering was revoked? )

A discussion surrounding why SNMP configuration didn't catch on, and whether NETCONF will make a difference is a nice topic. The economics of IT certification is a nice topic. CLI vs GUI is a nice topic. There's a lot in your article to consider. I'd like to see your ideas broken into separate discussions.

While GUIs can, at times, provide improved comprehension, ultimately they are difficult for the vendor to keep updated, having missing interfaces, slow response times, lock-up, and are not suited for console access. In general, GUIs are too far removed from the system OS for critical operations. Experts use the CLI because…

Going back to Thinnet. A computer user complains that the computer cannot communicate on the network. The user had reconnected the RG cable directly onto the BNC NIC after moving the PC, instead of using the 'T' connector.

Getting 'NCMXMLDATA_VM_01' was not found in Resource File 'NCM.Strings' after NCM upgrade. Looking for help.

Tech at Solarwinds is running Orion configuration utility now. Will keep posted.

I use Solarwinds LEM. I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Is there an environmentally hardened version for vegemite? Also, the BLT sandwich being monitored needs some serious attention. One side is too soggy, the other side is too dry, and the tomato is completely gone

Quint would have been Morgan's harbor master, demanding 25% of the bounty to port.

That one is good.

Reducing single point of failure is always a good idea. ("one is none")

Thanks, I'll double-check that

They don't appear to be running at the specified time. I've opened a support case, and the first item was to check that all services are running. Next steps?

Monitor ports going to servers, routers, and inter-switch connections. This is important for automatically discovering errors for these important connections. Also, monitor SVI interface used for management of the switch. Attached access devices can be monitored as separate nodes. UDT is a useful product, for that you want…

Yes, you're right downstream. Any advice on why the downstream nodes(Children) are still reporting when the upstream node ( Parent ) is down. I think it may have to with the alerts occurring simultaneously.

* The small hover is less useful. The large hover is more useful. * The large hover contains the data at first glance that is useful ( state, reason(s), component status, alerts ). * Ping; PathPing; Traceroute; Real-time SNMP polling on CPU, Memory, Disk, Traffic; Configuration Change Report, * The NPM default URL for the…

I found one.

I haven't seen data point extrapolation, just a current trend value. It is possible to do your own extrapolation on historical data points. With interfaces, the monthly 95-percentile is a good indicator as to whether you need more bandwidth/less traffic, without the need to extrapolate. Okay, NPM 11.5 features include the…
