Discovery should not function any differently based on your license status. Expired licenses means that you can't update to the latest and greatest functionality with our new releases or get customer support, but the functionality for your existing install should remain intact based on your perpetual license for that…

I believe NCM has an option to only store configs if they have changed, which should accomplish this today. Paging jeff.stewart to confirm or deny!
-
No, NTM is not dead. That's why you see hot fixes coming out and Support is always a phone call away. NTM does a lot of things well today, but there is always room for improvements. Are there specific things you're interested in?
-
From what I can tell, this is not a common problem. Have either of you worked with support on the issue?

The SNMP MIB Browser within Engineer Toolset can do SNMP sets. Quick screenshot here: snmp set

That is core count.

Hi michaelbensusan, Two questions: * Are you exporting both ingress and egress traffic from your network device for the given interface? Or if not, are you sure that you're monitoring whichever direction the device should be seeing the traffic go? * Are you viewing both ingress and egress traffic in NTA? Or if not, are you…

I haven't seen this type of behavior before. That means it will probably require deeper investigation (diags, path export, potentially packet capture), so a ticket to Support is probably your best bet.
-
I'm looking into this and will get back to you.

Stealing Rob's answer from Solarwinds server timezone change from AEST to UTC: You may lose a few hours of historical data and have some bogus alerts for a few minutes when it comes back up, but going forward there should be no issues. It would be advised to stop Orion services before making the change.

I suspect NTA and IP groups would be a more direct way to solve this problem. For example, creating IP groups for each of your customer's source subnets, then looking at traffic from that source IP group to an IP group that represents all public IPs (and is therefore Internet bound).
-
Any others folks?

I've received one upload (thanks!) but definitely need more. If you want us to use YOUR configs to test our new functionality and make sure it works, this is how to do it! Shoot me your configs!

It depends how the load balancer is configured. If the load balancer is transparently passing through traffic to various servers to host it, I would expect to see the servers. If it's doing full proxy where the load balancer terminates the TCP session and creates a new one to the server, I would expect the load balancer to…

Debug tools designed for developers like Hubble tend to be very verbose. I don't recognize the errors, but that doesn't mean much. It sounds like you should open a ticket for the instability issue which may or may not be related to the messages you're seeing, but is what you need fixed regardless.

Hi there! jblankjblank has moved on to a new challenge at SolarWinds. I'm handling EOC now. Unfortunately there is not an option in EOC 2.1 to import Active Directory accounts from Orion instances. You're correct that pass through today requires going through Manage Servers. If you could wave a magic wand and have this…

I suspect we would need to look at a packet capture to determine why this small portion of traffic is marked as going direct. A ticket with Support would be the best path forward.
-
What if NPM used the "location" attribute of the site element? Would that work in your environment?
-
I think the only way to do this would be to restore from a backup, which would obviously result in losing other data.
-
Problem is isolated and we are tracking in case CORE-6872. I'm not able to share an ETA at the moment, but we're making progress.
-
Development is investigating. Looks like the Support tickets are on the right track.
-
I have not seen this error message occur before, including during beta, RC, and production. Considering that, I expect few people on the forum have either. We definitely need to investigate this. Could you open a Support case and provide the number so I can keep tabs on it?

We stop polling when we think we have all the paths in an interval. If we think we have all the paths in 3 minutes, we stop polling then instead of continuing for the rest of the 7 minutes in a 10 minute default polling interval. NetPath needs to pretty consistently find all of the paths in each interval to be able to show…

Thanks for the page jbiggley, but I think you're looking for jeff.stewart.

Thanks to everyone for uploading so many walks. Looks like we're in good shape now for everything but walks for ASAs participating in Active/Active HA. If you have such an environment, it would be extremely helpful if you could upload a walk according to the instructions in the post at the top. I know you all enjoy taking…
-
We'd very much appreciate more walks. Thanks to familyofcrowes for sending one over. Please see my initial post in for instructions.
-
We're still looking for more SNMP walks! Instructions for getting a walk are in the post at the top!
-
This is not currently possible. In an ideal world, what data would you be looking for about each device, specifically?
-
Capacity forecasting as you're describing shipped with NPM 11.5 as coreys mentioned. Check out the demo here: http://oriondemo.solarwinds.com/Orion/SummaryView.aspx?ViewID=519

>This is not surprising, as I have had Layer 2 and 3 topology turned off on all devices since testing it, because having that spike the CPU on half of my switches every 2 minutes it updates is much more dangerous than it is worth it, and to set the interval to anything less often defeats the purpose of showing "current"…
