RC1 has been released. More info here: NPM Release Candidate 1 Available!

I'm hearing from our Platform team they are aware of the issue. We'd love to hear your feedback on the NPM 12.4 beta. Care to sign up?!
-
The typical ones are the default using common industry symbols and SolarWinds colors (orange!). You're free to import more, but they'll have to be images not VSS.

rschroeder, could you email me an SNMP walk?
-
This is not something we currently plan to do. It amounts to writing a second batch of CLI commands and parsing. It also introduces a host of challenges because the Application expects the status of an entity to be reflected in whether you can poll it or not. All fixable, but not currently planned. I’ll keep my ear out for…

I'm sorry to say that this information is not accurate. We do not have a specific timeframe or release vehicle for this fix. I apologize for the bad information. I've tracked down the source of the bad info internally and am remediating.

Within a week or so of submission.
-
Did EOC 2.1 resolve the problem for you?
-
There is not. We do have H/A in beta: High Availability Beta - Included as Part of SAM 6.3 Beta
-
Is there anything Solarwinds does with Port Descriptions out of interest? We certainly do a number of things with them in various places. If you're asking if we do any interpretation of them to affect how we view the network topology though, the answer is no. BTW, have you checked out this?: NTM 2.2 Beta1 - Building a…

In many cases Windows device do not respond to SNMP. For Windows machines, WMI is your best bet.
-
I agree with HolyGuacamole. Could you also send me the ticket number after submitting? I'd like to take a look as well.
-
We have one additional option but it has some risk to it so I'm going to PM you the details.
-
Great point. Thanks for that.
-
I apologize. For some reason I missed that this was about the Beta even though you mentioned it in the subject. The license type I've provided does not work for offline activation. I'll PM you a new license, which should also be available in your customer portal for offline activation.

With manually created links, Network Atlas should get the link status solely and exactly from the items you've configured under "This link gets its status from:" that you show above. I see in your screenshot both are seen as up. Mousing over that in the web UI shows the link as down? That's very strange. I'd suggest it's…

Sounds like it's time to contact support. Referencing FB11015 should expedite the issue and confirm this is supposed to be working.

I have great respect for treating reboot as a last resort and working problems into the ground. IMHO this is one of the big things that separates good engineers from great engineers. Kudos.

Thanks for sending the SNMP Walk. We have tested it and it appears to be working in NPM 12.0 BETA4 + QOE NOW AVAILABLE If you'd like to be sure it works in your environment, please download the beta and give it a shot.
-
An SNMP Walk would allow us to verify everything is working and all fields are properly populated. Is it an option to send a full SNMP Walk?

stevenwhunt is the guy we need!

Code 0.

Did you catch my response earlier in the thread? #2 highlights the most common reasons we have seen the topology shown in the screenshot of this thread.
-
Right. Adding nodes to Orion and having Orion discover that they're an eligible operating system will allow them to be listed among available nodes to deploy QOE to.
-
NPM 12.0 and I think 11.5 allows automatic important as part of the discovery process. Go to Network Discovery, add a discovery, and you will find a step that allows you to add the discovered nodes (or interfaces) manually or automatically. Select automatically and click to define your options.

This AP is supported in NPM v12 Beta 2: NPM v12 Beta2 Now Available

SolarWinds' goal is to make the best software available for IT professionals. You guys are constantly under pressure to fix outages, evolve existing infrastructure, build new infrastructure, and migrate old infrastructure all while constantly keeping up to date with emerging technologies. Meanwhile, many companies still…

We don't currently monitor ISIS relationships out of the box like we do for BGP. It is likely that your device exposes the status of its ISIS relationships via SNMP though in which case you could monitor and alert on it using a UNDP similar to what is described here for BGP: SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: How can I use Orion…
