I was looking for the same thing too!!!! Here is a work around, but once again, this should be built into the product. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-191247#comment-297422

Yeah aLTeReGo all services were running, I couldn't figure it out, so I gave up and called support, and after some service(s) were stopped and some DB queries ran it was resolved and all is well.
-
Would also like to see the same functionality for any other DB's as well, SQL, MySQL, Mongo, etc....
-
I've gotten all my APE's moved to the new OS, but I'm having problems with my main poller, both servers are showing down on the HA page, so the pool stays grey all the time, any suggestions on troubleshooting the HA status of the main poller?
-
Hey aLTeReGo thanks for the write up and it works very well for having no down time. I'd also like to add if you are moving to a new OS due to the cortex issue make sure you put the buddy drop in place before you switch to your new poller, I found out the hard way....
-
aLTeReGo is there a way to reproduce the RDP link that is included on the centralized upgrade page?
-
wheres the #bump_squad when you need them

Buddy drop are files provided by Solarwinds to fix a problem.
-
Found it: SELECT pollingmethod FROM Orion.HardwareHealth.HardwareInfoBase

Is it still not possible to add hardware health sensors without discovery? Does this cover it?? https://github.com/solarwinds/OrionSDK/wiki/Hardware-Health Curious where does this hardware health type reside in the DB or SWQL tables?
-
Yeah the changes from the UI are being saved to the dbo.Thresholds table in the database, but I’m unable to find the corresponding table in SWQL, it appears the Orion.Thresholds in SWQL is actually a view and doesn’t contain the fields that are actually in the dbo.Thresholds table. I can edit the table directly in the DB,…

Ok, so when you say an aspx resource do you mean a separate application or is there a way for me to add an aspx resource to a view? I’ve been trying to figure out a way to update some custom properties from an SOAP or API call when a page loads, like a page load event from .NET, in order to visualize status of a server on…

So I got the console running, not sure why its not running at start up but, this is the command to get it going: Sudo /opt/vmware/sbin/vami-lighttpd -f /opt/vmware/etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf
-
It looks the same in the DB under websites, with just the FQDN of the host. I've also had it set to the FQDN of the VIP on my netscaler but it doesn't seem to affect anything.
-
Thanks mesverrum so much for your help with this, if you are EVER in or close to Kentucky I OWE YOU BIG TIME!!!!!! I would've have never figured this out. Could you provide any guidance for us that are new to solarwinds how to know the table names and shortcuts that you provided to these objects in your query? Example I…

The update to the latest version was supposed to fix an issue I was having with my webui going nuts, but that being said, I'm ready to install the RC to try and eliminate the Cortex issues. Even though support doesn't guarantee it will be a resolution if I can get the bits to work with my OS
-
Do you know where the configuration file is located?
-
Tomcat is running and I can even access VMAN website, but cannot access the appliance console.
-
aLTeReGo DBA stated we had a server level trigger setup to not allow in memory tables.
-
Yeah Dan I have about 1000 of these to update and hate pushing buttons I voted up someone’s post to be able to have multiple group by parameters when managing nodes, I think that might be a resolution also. If I could group them by a custom property and then group them by the polling method I THINK I would be able to set…

We have two additional web servers that are sitting behind a netscaler, and I have one DNS name that utilizes both servers in a round robin fashion.
-
I figured it out, it was an error upon my part, I didn't realize I had to include the whole query in the search option also, Thanks again!!!!
-
Hi mesverrum thanks for the response, yeah I think you are correct, I found some documentation, Component Monitor Types and it seems that some of components include the variables needed and some don't have any documented at all. I've seen this with other vendor software where there are too many dev teams because the…
-
Thanks that's excellent!!!
-
Sorry for the late response and you probably already have a solution, but what I've used to determine which server a user is on was add a image to each web server in the /Orion/Images folder with the same name. Only issue is when you run the config wizard you will have to put the image back.

Thanks @mac4u I'm totally new to SRM, the type of Array is an EMC Isilon. Do you know if that is one I could have our storage team set a quota for and then I could display what the application team wants?

I keep getting an error when trying to do a search: There was an error processing the request.
