Per input from SolarWinds Support, we updated the WPM section of the Scalability Engine Guidelines for SolarWinds Orion Products to list factors that impact the amount of transactions each WPM Player can handle. The Player Load Percentage post also includes good information that will be added to the main WPM documentation.

I'm reworking the WPM docs and came across this tidbit: "Custom properties for WPM transactions are stored in the SEUM_RecordingCustomProperties table." Although this post is old, someone might find this info useful and it will be included in the next release of WPM documentation.

Here's a page from the SAM Administrator Guide to get you started. Be sure to note that you need to install third-party agent software from supported vendors and then run Discovery so SAM can detect the agents on server nodes and start polling.
