I believe that standards are necessary, but have to be re-evaluated for relevance, flexibility, and exactness. There will always be those proprietary "one-offs" that a vendor brought in and no one knew who it belongs to and who supports, and then it becomes your orphan. Standards should have some enforcement policy that is…

Hi @mjonathan, I'm getting this as well! Could this be a coding error? I'm waiting for a new version to fix this. There have been numerous issues with upgrades for awhile now. Thanks much, Cheryl
-
THank you for bringing this up. I am experiencing the same issue. I'm at 2022.4 at this time.

Hi @ldelt, Sometimes the "serial number" is also the "ServiceTag". SELECT TOP 1000 * FROM dbo.APM_HardwareInfo Thanks much, Cheryl

I recently upgraded from 2020.2.6 to 2022.4 and there are new canned SD-WAN alerts!

We don't like applications creating their own UserIDs, with all the vulnerbilities we are experiencing. I was asked to remove the Website Maintenance ID and I did as asked. It was removed. And the "All Nodes" widget is not functioning and is not sorting as it was set up as. We really should have been informed about the…

I have a similar question as well. Should we be using filestream data?

Thank you so much for sharing this! @animelov!

Great idea. We had some discoveries that were changed. I didn't know the entries were changed till it was brought up to me. This would be very helpful. Also, it would help if we can export/archive them for history.

I have this issue also.

My preferred method for Network nodes and appliances is SNMP v2c or v3. Windows servers is WMI, to utilize the Windows performance metrics, but can and have utilized SNMP for servers. I don't like to use agents, like most server engineers - we don't want to introduce any more variables or software that would conflict with…

Thank you for sharing! It worked, I notice that the Database Manager is becoming less facilitating.

You can also try this link from Solarwinds! https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Configure-Orion-to-unmanage-items-on-a-scheduled-basis

Fahad, I apologize, this is a little late (7 years and counting). Once you have the profile created, you schedule in Task Manager Scheduler and set it up to e-mail you once the job has kicked off. I have it e-mail me when there are some nodes that absolutely need to be unmanaged because of weekly reboots. And I don't want…

Experiencing this right now on (2) node cluster. The active is getting status Unknown on the "Windows Server 2003-2008 Services and Counters " template. The standby is all green and actively getting information to the poller. It is so strange!!! These are physical servers with 64 GB RAM. Thanks much, Cheryl

HI! Did you resolve your issues replacing the sdf files? I have the same thing happening to me. I am getting lots of false alerts! [ScheduledOperations] ERROR SolarWinds.JobEngine.ScheduledOperationManager - Woke up too early! Thanks much, Cheryl
-
aLTeReGo, for SAM 6.1.1 it's not configurable in the SolarWinds.APM.Probes.dll.config file. I will have to go to CW - configuration wizard, correct? Thanks! Cheryl
-
What if you are getting the same messages and you have unlimited licenses? Thanks much, Cheryl
-
Thanks Leon! I wish they would allow us to look up 454357 so we can read it. THanks!!! Cheryl

Jeff, You mentioned: We use small "poller" files which contain specific OIDs that are written directly in to the poller and do not reference the MIB in any way. How do you do that? What small poller files. I am very interested. Thanks much! Cheryl

Hi Byron! I am somewhat new to Solarwinds. Where did you setup the Custom Property for Utilization Threshold? Was this in the template? Thanks much, Cheryl
