Hi Jason, The reason for having best practices, is to give the user a reference point, where one could use the above points to their advantage. NTM does not require a dedicated server to perform its job. It will work fine on the same server where NCM is installed, while keeping in mind the minimum system requirements.

Hi Engineers Toolset is licensed per install. You can install ETS onto a Server and RDP to it (this can be an Orion Server). Hi, Dave Your L2 nodes needs to respond to SNMP, to be correctly identified. If the nodes does not respond to SNMP, most likely it would be polled using ICMP. In this case it would show up as unknown nodes.
