Any word on this idea? It would be great to have the additional pollers scan IP ranges that the core server cannot reach at remote locations. Backup subnets for example that we have silo at each site and are non-routable. Therefore the core server cannot scan them.

Will there be a way to monitor the fabric extenders on the Cisco 5k-2ks? It would be nice to know what FEX is attached to each 5k or 5k pods.
-
Our use case would be where have a backup network that is non-routeable across remote locations from the core server. using the existing additional pollers at the remote locations allows us to tie the backup nic to the additional pollers as we do with the core poller for IPAM.

Where's the additional poller and web poller executable files???

I am glad to see you all go private again. Hopefully this will bring the Solarwinds product back to what it used to be. As he stated "SolarWinds was created by IT pros for IT pros" That's the product I remember from when it was first created. Seems like after it went public it changed from that perspective to making…

Is there an ETA on whether this feature will be introduced or not?
-
how do you use or create tabular pollers?
-
My technician Dave Crockett saved the day!! Literally that was his name. Here are the links for the web and additional pollers files. http://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Release/UserDeviceTracker/SolarWinds-UDT-v3.2.2-Poller.zip…

CAHUNT thanks for your help! I finally figured out where to add the information into tabular pollers however I am not getting the same view as you have.
-
Nope! It was not available during the time of my download. It was really irritating to find out there was an additional pollers and web pollers but not made available to the public due to human error. I figured it was like a previous version of UDT where it was all included. But after putting my ticket with your tech…

Cosmetics are nice and all, but what good are they if the underlying foundation is not solid? I mean come on now, you fixed netflow by getting it off SQL database and on to it's own. How about doing that with NPM. Another view is I remember how robust and solid Solarwinds used to be compared to it's competitors. Ever since…
-
Can you look into increasing the size of the Syslogs NPM handles? We are currently experiencing issues with our database maintenance and how the NPM server is not able to process the amount of syslog traffic that we are receiving in our enterprise environment. Case Update: 864515 - Syslog Database not purging data after 7…

I concur!! Can you please add this feature to your next update for IPAM! It would be beneficial to everyone as you can see in this thread.

We have Netbrain in our organization. Very awesome networking diagram tool out there. It's pain to initially get every the way you want it to be. The ROI is well worth it for large organizations out there.
-
Okay here is stupid question? How do you get that to show in the UI like that? I have imported and read all the how tos and I still cannot get the view above in the UI.

While I am not an SNMP expert, it looks like there are different MIBs depending on whether or not the ASA is in multi context mode. This table shows that the sysObjectID is ciscoASA5585Ssp60 when in single context mode, and when in multi context mode the sysObjectIDs are ciscoASA5585Ssp60sc and ciscoASA5585Ssp60sy for the…

no you're not the only. Ours started to have this issue once again. It's becoming a pain in the rear. I wish they would fix this issue with IPAM already. It's amazing how the netflow module is working great ever since they took it off the SQL database and built it's own.
-
how do you log into this success center site?

Thank you for the assisting my Solarwinds Tech helped me out finally right as you posted this. :D I knew it was the SQL database issue. He had me reboot our SQL server right before even trying this. Which was really irritating but to each his own right? I wish I knew more about SQL.

Alright my issue is resolved! Solarwinds tech needed to go the database and delete the orphaned instance. he went to the database below netperfmon queiered the settings with the commands below and found the orphaned instance settings SELECT TOP 1000 * FROM [dbo].[Settings] select * FROM Settings WHERE SettingsID LIKE…

Did this ever get resolved in the most recent version? It's 2014 and I am still seeing the same issues with 3.2

Thanks Aarond! That save us too here. We are currently in the same situation as original owner of this post. Using the local admin of the webconsole worked. For some reason Windows account with admin rights to the Web-console would not work.

I would like to pull reports based off custom setting i.e. Datacenter and campus LAN. It would be nice to have a total port count just only for the datacenter side and campus LAN side. I have had request and worked with your techs on this. We haven't been too successful yet on the reporting piece.
-
I concur with the integration piece of NPM.
-
We need Solarwinds IPAM to be able to scan VRFs when will this feature be in the next release?
-
IPAM needs an APE compatibility for devices that are not local to the core server. I have seen other threads on this, so the user community would like to see this soon if possible.
-
Definitely would be great if they would stop the nickeling and diming concept of their product. Great product but does not scale well for a large enterprise network. Increasing the element beyond 250k would be even better! •Increased scalability per SolarWinds instance (target of 250k elements / instance)
-
Here are two links below that solved this issue you are having. We had the same problem. First link is for UDT only. http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/5195/How+to+stop+the+UDT+log+file Second link I recommend using! Good luck!…

I just learned too, that the nexus 7ks only support two monitoring sessions total per system. If you are going use more than two per system in multiple VDC environment you have to type mode extended on the additional monitoring sessions. https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11814396/nexus-monitor-session-problem…
