I just came across this post in this thread as I noticed the same service taking an extreme amount of memory for me yesterday. I restarted the service last night and all is well (so far). Was there any resolution offered by support?

That looks good and gave me what I was looking for. Thanks!!!

Thanks. That is the plan, to get to 6.4 first.

The issue we're running into now is sending an automated feed in to our new problem ticketing system to populate the CMDB. They'd prefer it in a newer Excel format. CSV would also work for them, but the feed contains fields that can contain commas, so even if I clean the data in our custom properties, no guarantee a comma…

Hi Serena, I filled out the survey as we have interest in participating. Haven't heard anything. Will we know either way if selected? And, if you don't see my response, let me know if I can still fill it out for some reason. Thanks.

That has been done as well. No response as of yet.

They are copies of a windows script monitor we have monitoring all servers for auto-start services. Might be other things in there but the spot checking I did shows just that one monitor. This folder exists on our primary and secondary poller. Odd thing is the application template debug logging is turned off. Still can't…

Thanks. I've got a case open. I'll PM you the case number in the event you want to keep an eye on it.

OK thanks.

Not to jump on the "Me Too" bandwagon, but I can't tell if I'm registered or not. Can you confirm yumdarling? Thanks.

On the Active Alerts window, under "More" you can select "Pause Actions of All Alerts" to globally prevent actions from being executed. So email won't be sent, etc.

This was a hassle for me when folks looking for PerfStack projects couldn't find the ones someone else created. "Well, tell Joe to share his with you" wasn't something I enjoyed telling my bosses who actually are getting use out of the charts we have out there. I placed the following custom query on relevant dashboards to…

I could honestly say we've been a little of "All of the above" coupled with a high percentage of "Firing on all cylinders". I think we've done very well overall. There have been little fires here and there, and things that needed to get ramped up/reconsidered/retooled, but I'd say with each of the challenges listed, we've…

Regarding a question in the first post: 2.) If I query the alertsuppression table, I see all of the servers that I have muted alerts for using the powershell script from above. My question is, does this table purge the values after the suppress time ends or do i have to specifically say to resume alerts to clear that…

I have a similar, but not identical, issue as well. I've had very strange WPM behavior in several instances, one I worked with support on for months with no resolution, beyond "you need to upgrade your target page's software", which didn't make me very happy. But I digress. The issue I have now is that I have transactions…

The above detail is very good. What we did going to Server 2012 last year, which was successful and much like what David Smith outlined above. We upgraded the DB to SQLServer 2016 leaving our existing Orion servers alone at Orion v2017. We let that run for a week to ensure no issues (overkill, but we were in no major…

We've upgraded to 6.7 and still have hardware issues as well. My Virtualization Engineers say everything's clean on their end and we still have faulting hardware in Orion. It rears its head after they perform hardware maintenance, and that behavior has been consistent across a couple ESX hosts over the past few weeks. The…

FYI, I got around to putting in a feature request for this. I appreciate the thoughts. Rene, I had considered something similar and we might go down that road as well. Appreciate the input.

Support assisted in the resolution of this issue. In short, I needed to reset the polling method directly in the database which effectively reset the license count. I was then able to change the polling method in Orion and get all nodes polling properly.

I do something similar, using a dynamic group populated (in our case) by a specific naming convention, and assigning specific templates to that group. I had some nodes that had the templates already manually assigned before I built this process and it didn't create duplicates. So now in cases where new servers are added…

Yes we've had the same issue for some time. It is quite annoying. IIRC it was mentioned at the SWUG in NY that vCenter 6.7 may fix the problem, but we aren't there yet, so I have no first hand knowledge.
