Forums are my current main method. Finding issues that other people have and attempting to fix them I also never turn down when a colleague has an issue, even if i don't know the answer I almost always make myself available for assistance and usually am able to figure out the problem together.

native support would be great. In the meantime take a look at this SQL variable definition to return multiple rows

thanks, everyone I highly recommend people get one of those if they have a chance and don't already have one. I used it recently on some site visits for work and what a convenient way to take notes. I was also pretty impressed with it's transcription capabilities given my terrible penmanship.

Hits the nail right on the head, I have experienced managers and CTO's do the same thing of "make sure you make it seem like its not our fault." When 9 times out of 10 your customer just wants the 3 things you listed and honesty.

Still no points for yesterday or today's questions
-
Got a big X even though my answer is exactly what the pop-up says it should be.
-
did the vote yesterday when i saw that it was available. Doesn't seem to recognize that I've already completed it and give me the coveted green check mark.

@"yumdarling" I too received an incorrect answer for today, and the reported correct answer is not an option to select from.

@"igorrtm", what specific information are you looking for? Do you control devices on both ends of the IPSec? What devices are being used for the IPSec? the posed question is rather broad and having this additional information can help others assist you quicker.

@"akhasheni", as @"mesverrum" alluded to this issue is more related to your internal certificate management, issuance, and PKi configuration. Essentially first thing is to ensure that the issuing CA is added a trusted root certificate to all clients that will be access the SSL protected URL, if these are Windows clients…
-
@"akhasheni", first step is that you need to ensure that you install the issuer as a trusted root certificate on all clients that will be access the website via that URL and SSL certificate. If they're Windows clients thats easy enough through GPO (see link). Once added as a trusted root certificate all certificates issued…

@"John-AVUSD", 2020.2.6 is not the newest. If My Orion Deployment states that you have no updates then it is likely because your SolarWinds server does not have internet access so it's unable to find the newest version. With that being said if the server does not have internet access then you will have to follow the steps…
-
@"rajasekar", you should just be able to cchangethe 'day' to 'hour' to achieve what you are looking for. See the below link for supported SWQL functions and usage information. github.com/.../SWQL-Functions

@"John-AVUSD", have you reviewed this documentation? documentation.solarwinds.com/.../install-centralized-upgrade-primary-server.htm

@"matt_rees", in conjunction with modifying the Device Template you'd also need to create a new Config Type (article here). The new config type needs to match the name of the command you want it to execute in the Device Template, using your Device Template as an example you'd name the config type myfirewall_Startup and…

@"TimWhite_LC2", so you can do this by doing a join from one of the tables that they let you select from to the events table. See the below example. There's a couple of dependent things for the nodes table to be an accurate table to do the join against. If you display the output from SWQL for one of these event i might be…
-
@"Ebraam Makaryous", try changing the "S" in "Show ${ConfigType}" to "s" for "show ${ConfigType" i just ran into this last week and that is how i was able to start successfully pulling down configs from mine.
-
@"robert777", there's a couple of different ways that you could handle this until (if it ever gets implemented) native OpenShift monitoring is a feature provided by SolarWinds. 1. Have the built-in AlertManager for OpenShift have an alert action (or whatever vernacular is equivalent) that writes an event to the SolarWinds…
-
@"robert777", this is a doozy but I think doable. you have most of the bones of how i think it could be accomplished the only change i'd make is that clicking the button doesnt set off an advanced alert, i would just have clicking the button create an event in SolarWinds and have SolarWinds trigger off the presence of that…

i have the same issue. I still have a total of 25 counting against my license when it should be 24
