Byron I apologize for the difficulties you encountered. We will update our documentation to include environments managed y SC-VMM. I will also work with engineering to update to VHDx

Small = the smallest VM in the context of what you chose to run capacity planning on Medium = The median size Large = The largest VM in the context of what you chose to run capacity planning on. This is not currently configurable

Hello, if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the Orion web page you should be able to view which version of SAM is installed

Nick The answer for excluding a specific volume can be found here Re: Making Widget out of Alert? Here is an excerpt from the page: " Excluding particular drives in alerts you can skip particular disk drives (unable to do that in widgets). Such issue was already discussed at Re: Skip certain volume label or drive letter in…

yes vCenter 6.5 is supported.

Brandon Few questions for you: 1. What version of VMAN/VIM are you running? 2. Do you have the VMAN (appliance) & VIM (Orion) integrated? If so are the VMAN collections succeeding? What happens when you re-run the integration wizard? 3. What version of vSphere are you running?

Jordan Thanks for installing the RC, Im looking forward to hearing your feedback. Here are the release notes for Virtualization Manager 6.3. I will follow-up with the link to the URL once it is available. SolarWinds Virtualization Manager v6.3 and Integrated Virtual Infrastructure Monitor (IVIM) v2.1 Release Notes Updated…

Sadako At this time you can only integrate a single VMAN instance to a single Orion instance. You can have a multiple federated pollers with a single VMAN integrated but not multiple individual VMAN instances.
-
Daniel You shouldn't need to remove the agent from your Windows and Linux guests for VMAN 8.0 to work. VMAN uses the VCenter API to poll the hypervisor data necessary to populate VMAN resources such as All active virtualization alerts, VM Sprawl, & Recommendations. The agents will still report back OS level data you…

Ricardo Just to clarify are you looking for feedback from individuals that have installed VMAN in Azure?

VMAN 6.3.2 is compatible with NPM 12.0 so your two options are as follows. 1. Upgrade NPM to 12.0 2. Install the Orion Standalone for VMAN- This should be bundled with your install on the customer portal.

Michael This situation occurs when integration is initially enabled when SAM or NPM are in evaluation mode. The SAM or NPM license counts as the IVIM license but the notification persists (incorrectly) even after the full license is applied license accounts.Do you currently have Virtualization Manager integrated with…

Jim This intermittent latency issue was resolved in VMAN 8.0.

Ryan What VMAN looks at is the hypervisor thin provisioning and not the storage hardware thin provisioning. I'm not familiar with the HP StoreVirtual but does it's settings take precedence over how VMWare is configured? Virtualization manager is only going to know what the VMware API is telling it.

Brent I have had this happen before from a bad ovf download. Try downloading it again and let me know if that happens again.

Brian One way to accomplish this is by action manager to bulk edit the alert email action after the alerts are created. You can do this using the following steps: 1. Go to Settings - Alerts & Reports and select Manage Alerts 2. Select the Action Manager tab 3. Then choose group by action type and select Send an Email/Page…

We do not report on the queue depth property but the good news is we do collect the property (if configured) and we can gather the info with some manipulation. If all your ESX hosts have queue depth set within VMware you can select each host in VMAN and select XML view. Under the LUN property, you can view queue depth If…

Hi It looks like the Top-N: VM Storage Consumed is what you are looking for under the Storage Dashboard. It will list the VM, storage including snapshot size and the datastore it is located on.

Hello! I assume you are trying to migrate the data in the VMAN appliance database to a different VMAN appliance? One thing to add to Milan's comment is that if you try to migrate data to a VMAN appliance that already has polling data this will error out.

Stephen It would be good to collect some logs and get a support ticket going so we are sure there are not some underlying issues in the environment that may pop its head up again. If you do open a ticket please message me the ticket number so I can track it on my side.

Hi Stephen Was the issue occurring prior to upgrading from the current release? If the issue occurred after the upgrade or after integrating VMAN with Orion can you re-run the integration wizard by going into virtualization settings and selecting Run Synchronization Wizard.
