Peter is on the right track. Please confirm the following: 1. You are polling everything through the VMAN appliance 2. The VMAN appliance is integrated with Orion and synced successfully. You can check synchronization by going to settings - all settings - Virtualization Settings - Run Synchronization Wizard 3. Confirm you…

VMAN is able to track datastore & IOPs from a datastore and VM disk level. The following screen shot is from Orion with VMAN integration Here are the associated latency alerts
-
Pratik There is not a limit to the number of vCenters that can be added. If the remote vCenters have high latency connections then you can implement a federated collector at each site which will poll the vCenter and send the data back to the master VMAN appliance. For the installation, if you already have the most current…

Kevin This vulnerability was resolved with the release of VMAN 6.3.2 (aka Service Release 2) which should be available in your customer portal. Ideally you would want to upgrade your VMAN appliance, any federated pollers and then your Orion integrated instance as well.
-
Logan Per SolarWinds revenue recognition policies we do not provide future release dates for any of our products. I can say that with Beta 2 out you could expect the RC to not be too far around the corner.
-
James From the Virtualization Manager appliance are you adding the data sources individually or using a subnet range? Are the credentials the same BEDHV05 as they are for BEDHV01 - 04? Once we get BEDHV05 to poll correctly I would recommend re-running the "Run Synchronization Wizard" from Orion. To access the…

Hello The ability to change reporting to MB or GB has been identified as a feature request to look into further as a possible implementation in future releases.
-
VMAN 6.2 is now GA which offers support for environments using the vCenter Server Appliance (VCSA).
-
Are you using vCSA for your vCenter instance?
-
Eric can you re-run the integration wizard. Also did you update both the VMAN appliance and Orion (VIM) to version 7.0
-
That is our most current versions. Please create a support ticket and message me the number and I will track it and confirm this gets attention.
-
William What version of NPM and VMAN are you integrating? The reason I ask is we resolved some integration issues similar to what you described in our most recent release.
-
Daniel I'll reach out to you to gather diagnostic data. I want to dig into this deeper with the engineering team to address your issue.
-
If you have VMAN integration with Orion enabled all VMs should automatically populate in Orion.
-
Ed is correct you can enter multiple credentials for vSphere and Hyper-V under setup - credentials

Mike So it looks like this VM is just a node in Solarwinds and not being monitored by Virtualization Manager. Just to confirm, has the host or vCenter where the VM resides on been added as a data source in Virtualization Manager?
-
Mike Can you paste the snapshot of what you are getting in this thread. The previous image did not come through in the message that you sent me.
-
Andrew Was anything recently installed on the servers being monitored with the agents?
-
The storage dashboard in VMAN contains a Datastore latency widget & VM latency widget which can help to identify storage contention.
-
Good day Manilyn Do you have a specific CVE number?
-
Hi Unfortunately there is not a way to report within Virtualization Manager on space consumed by the vmware.log files for each VM on the datastore. We can however report on predicted datastore depletion and Top N: Datastore Low Free Space

The permissions required on vCenter can be found here. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/en/flarehelp/VMan/default.htm#orionvmphvirtualizationmanagertools.htm?Highlight=vcenter permissions

Hello, There is an asset and inventory node report available that an provide you with all hosted virtual machines and their Hosts. When creating a new report choose Inventory Lists and then choose Hosted Virtual Machines & the wizard will walk you through adding your hosts and displaying the content.

Peter is correct the VMAN appliance by itself can not monitor hardware health but when you integrate with Orion you get access to hardware health , perfstack, recommendations, appstack, improved reporting and Alerting, etc. You can integrate with NPM or SAM but if you prefer a standalone VMAN instance the VMAN download zip…

This template basically checks the ability of a DNS server to respond to a record query, and measures its responsiveness. It tests a DNS server''s ability to respond to a record query, compares the query response against a list of IP addresses, and measures the response time. The component monitor passes if the DNS…

From the VMAN appliance 1. click on the heading for Sprawl Storage Cost widget 2. Select configure in the upper right hand corner of the next screen 3. Select the criteria tab and modify the following line to replace 15 with your current cost. * (/virtualMachine/totalStorageSizeUsed + /virtualMachine/snapshotStorageSize) *…

You can add each OA as a node in SAM and it will automatically provide hardware health of the C7000 chassis natively but AppStack will not show the relationship of Server to chassis.
-
James We have a beta build which is nearing release with CentOS 6 that I can provide you access with when it become available.
-
Eric This is a common question among Solarwinds users. I have attached a feature comparison guide to help explain but simply put, IVIM is the basic Virtualization monitoring that is included with SAM & NPM while virtualization manager offers more in depth virtualization performance & capacity planning monitoring. IVIM will…
