I couldn't find a feature request for this so I submitted one: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/discussion/151461/device-view-updated-to-support-modern-switches

Yep, multiple breaks, lots of Solarwinds excuses but not fixes. I'm at the point it's clear there's a management problem. The last 2 'site refreshes' have led to hundreds of posts being locked and unavailable, constant password resets, and loss of clarityt. This new 'site' is hot trash to use and can only be considered…

This is a huge requirement for our needs. We do business on the west coast only so pingtimes in NY/FL are wholly unnecessary. There's an existing feature request for it here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/Pingdom-Feature-Requests/Pick-specific-Probes-to-use-for-polling/idi-p/592425

So just heard that the product manager in charge of "manage nodes" sees no issues with the removal of 99% of the tools and has no plans to make it have feature parity with the old manage nodes. Once again "shiny but less functionality" is the priority.
-
Shouldn't it be a millennium rather than a century between 2023 and 3023?
-
This would be an amazing combo.
-
TRUTH! I only remember the math things that are brought up by other people within the last 3 days so it's really on my wife for me noticing this today
-
Seems all of the issues have been resolved with the survey and I completed in without problem.

Top requirement and benefit of a mobile app: 2Factor can be built into the app on attempted login it sends code. The existence of NCM alone renders any push into mobile something that needs immense security since raw configs can be read.
-
We already make substantial use of custom properties, however editing configs on production hardware to get location data is silly. Especially when dealing with active in use hardware. Given that neither the node details nor custom properties minimize within a page or hide blank fields you're asking everyone to add a large…

Still hoping that the 'Manage Nodes' page finally gets the tools from the old legacy page moved over as well as the ability to direct link to filtered versions e.g. ui/manage/nodes?cisco+warning would precheck the boxes for "Cisco" and "warning" when the link loads. Handy for sharing with teams.
-
Bumping this for also adding it into table widgets as an option as well.
-
That would be a godsend. Keyring method of user rights is such a productivity booster for large environments.
-
Highly agreed. FEX serials should be contained within the Nexus chassis node they're plugged into IMO. Not sure why they're not or why NCM can see EOL dates for the modules but can't seem to show the serial.
-
Bumping this since Microsoft just announced they're ending 365webhooks for teams.
-
Love this survey, it has me asking new questions I hadn't thought about before, namely monitoring SAAS like Slack.
-
Kind of late notice to coordinate travel and they don't have reduced room rates set up yet? Disappointing how often it feels like Solarwinds doesn't really plan out events ahead of time with any real organization behind it
-
I do know about the historical trend and details pages however those don't appear to include vman or log analyzer retention settings.
-
I notice that there's an ARA subforum that doesn't appear to be linked. Seems a few of us over the years have had troubles with ARA and javascript/database errors. Any chance a dev could post in the subforum for the shortcut to be doable?
-
Done! Full agreement with @"rschroeder". Always happy to help make things better for us all.
-
I'd consider all of the sub-categories worthy of button to collapse.
-
Which is unfortunate on solarwinds part. The correct url should still be dashboard.meraki.com. The api url is rate limited and is no longer supporting icmp responses. Currently there is no way to easily add a connector since you can't edit the url it points to while adding.

We're installing the latest hot fix tomorrow but otherwise across the board current. There's been a couple of missed spots in perf stack but it does seem as though each patch closes those up. I'm still absolutely stymied as to why the legacy manage entities tools STILL haven't been added to the manage nodes page yet. Then…

Most every email about security updates I've gotten from thwack either led me to a "this page is locked by administrators" or that same 2 year old announcement. It's been like that since mid 2021 for me.

Seems to have almost worked. Couple of capacities are doubled and one is quadrupled from where it should be (cluster reports 9TB in vcenter, orion reports 32836.5 TB) Debugging stuff like this is such a time suck when I'm not remotely a dev or devops but it's information management expect orion to output. It seems that…

Output for one row raw: ClusterIDNameDiskCapFreeCapSpace used %16BDR Cluster3298266447872217312028262440.65209 with division to GB using /1073741824 ClusterIDNameDiskCapFreeCapSpace used %16BDR Cluster3071202340.65209 Vcenter itself reports 5.6TB volume total capacity. Tried /1000000000 too
-
Do have a "new" problem and that's trying to figure out what to divide by to get a number that matches vcenter's cpu/mem/storage widget within vcenter itself. Actual capacity should read 5.6TB but no matter what I get a diff number that doesn't match. Any ideas? SELECT [ClusterID] , [vClusters].Name ,…
-
That did the trick! (and is also the final impetus needed to always use [aliases])
-
We do have UDT however it's used largely for switch port mgmt rather than windows server logins. In this case it's our "personal" dev server stack that changes rapidly (and not always nicely cleaned up by same devs when they finish).

I had all but one of my pollers work perfectly with the workaround. My vman poller however did not like the change. Luckily it was super quick to just disable the service altogether since iirc vman isn't capable of polling a java instance no matter the version of jmxbridge.
