That's correct, you have to enable CBQoS monitoring on demand. If using SNMPv3 with SHA and AES256, please check following SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Orion NTA with SNMPv3 Cannot Collect CBQoS and Mapping Info
-
You can also define subnet using Endpoint filter specifying either range or CIDR notation.

If you don't see desired traffic at port 2055, take a look at port 6343 as it is default port for sflow devices. Then you can either set NetFlow service to listen at 6343 or change receiver port at the device. If you don't see the traffic at any of those two ports, try to look at all udp traffic coming from that ip address…

Currently NTA is not able to process NetFlow from WLC. The reason is that WLC NetFlow export doesn't provide required fields for NTA:SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Required flow template fields

Unfortunately this feature is currently unavailable in NTA, stay tuned for one of future releases. You can still use the old way thru customize view, set column width.

Hi Ashley, IP address has been removed because endpoints in NTA 4.0 are grouped by hostname, so showing single IP address would not be precise. For example, let have a computer with hostname laptop01, running over office and getting new IP from DHCP every 2 hours. In past NTA would show multiple single endpoints based in…

Hi Rugal_lover, CBQoS (Class-Based Quality of Service) is a smart QoS introduced by Cisco, which does classifying incoming data into classes and then applies defined policies on them effectively shaping and prioritizing traffic passing through device. As those devices are SNMP capable there are OIDs that represent…

NTA just stores and displays what it gets from flows. So if you are seeing AS 0, your device exports it like that in flows. Please check with Cisco documentation if you have bgp configured on your device correctly.

Hi, you need more space, that's for sure. Depending on where your FSDB is located, you can either move away files that doesn't belong to the FSDB, or you can stop the service, go to disk management are extend the partition, or you can move your FSDB to different drive, or to different server in your network - see…

Hi Bobby, unfortunately F5 sFlow is currently not supported by NTA. Would you mind sending us a WireShark pcap with couple of minutes of sFlow from F5 device? You can use leapfile for that purpose, see Leapfile Instructions Thanks in advance! Re: F5 BIG-IP v11. sFlow NTA bmazzotti Nov 29, 2012 3:02 PM (in response to…

Hi, This issue has been addressed in NTA 4.1 (download available in Customer portal).

Hi Waynewier, have you checked SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Configuring Nortel devices for use with Orion NTA?
-
Hi, without deeper look into logs diagnostics, I would recommend to make sure you run Configuration Wizard successfully. If that doesn't help, launch the NTA installation again and select repair. If any of above won't help you, please contact Solarwinds support.

Hi Rojim, I've tried on or test environment and it turn out to be really a bug in NetFlow. It is related to only exclude country situation, exclusion using other filters works fine. Thanks for letting us know. We are now aware of the issue and would like to fix it, but we cannot commit to a specific release or time-frame.…

Oh, thanks for letting us know. This article indeed needs an update. What specific issue with CBQoS do you have? jmaynard Oct 14, 2014 8:35 AM (in response to Choly) Looking at why we have a widespread issue of not receiving CBQoS stats in our environment. We had an instance back in August where a broken counter was…

Hi Craig, currently the NTA 4.0 (or 4.0.1) only works with local NTFS drive used for storage. Re: NTA 4.0 and SAN storage? jswan Feb 28, 2014 10:32 AM (in response to Choly) This is a technically accurate, but very misleading answer. As long as the SAN (or hypervisor) presents the drive to the operating system as a local…

Which version of NTA do you currently use? Current version on NTA should be capable of doing that.

Hi Shane, luckily you have NTA 3.10 :-), there is no need to have SNMP enabled or even pingable machine in order to receive NetFlow from it (if you are ok with specifying interfaces names and speed manually). To do that, first monitor the device as ICMP node (or external if permanent red status bothers you) in Orion. Then…

Just click (so called drilldown) to 'unmonitored traffic' item in application resource. You will be directed to page showing only unmonitored traffic, where you can see which apps it consist from. You can monitor interesting ones from there directly

Hi Keith, you are right about those two fields missing is the reason why the template is rejected. Unfortunately have at least one of those fields is a must have for NTA to be able to pair flows with information from NPM. You can try to ask Extreme Networks if they can add those fields in some of future versions of…

Hello, I see two issues here. First: NetFlow service is restarting itself - definitely not intended behavior - please create a support ticket to find out the root cause of that. Second: event telling you that "You have not enabled NetFlow data export on the CISCO device" - please check following documentation.
-
Well, you need to enable Netflow or IPFIX export on your VSP first. Please check Avaya documentation or support how to do so (should be possible, but I haven't found exact config step). NTA just listens to flows (opposed to SNMP based NPM which actively polls for data) and process them to be able to report you some useful…

Btw. the chart may be useful if you switch (again using edit) it to shows number visitors per interval - in this case it will show amount of unique visitors each minute for each minute (while the table below chart shows total amount of unique visitors for whole selected time period).

Hi, FSDB operates on lower level and it is requires exclusive access to those directories/files, so it is not really ACL issue, but design of the DB. To backup you either need to stop FlowStorage service so it unlocks those files or ommit FSDB folder from you backup definition and use FSDB builtin backup.

Hi Todd, every NTA virtual interface has an unknown state, because it is not a real interface on device, thus status cannot be obtained. Purpose of NTA virtual interfaces is to enable receiving and processing flow data even if device is sending non-existing interface index in flow data. Usually interface index 65535 is…

Hi Kiwi, I've uploaded custom Orion report for you, it is modification of existing Conversation including application report. I've just added node/interface and grouped by them. Sure, assuming you select application detail view and set the filter for interface and application. Once you are on Application details view, click Customize view and add/remove any resources you like, in this case you are probably missing Top XX Applications.
-
Hi, Just curious, are you trying to do that in old reporting (report writer app) or new reporting (web based)? Also are you using NTA 4.0 or some previous version? * Re: Netflow Custom Report Variable mezdem Mar 18, 2014 4:26 AM (in response to Choly)This was in the old reporting, to create a web resource so that we can…

Hello, This issue should be resolved by applying HotFix 2 for NTA 3.11 or by upgrade to NTA 4.0 or higher.
