Running everything through the configuration manager only kept the 'SolarWinds Orion Application Pool' running for about an hour before it stopped again.
-
The latest AppInsight for IIS will let you start/stop/recycle the app pool but I just found out that the PS command actually just stops/(waits 3 sec)/starts instead of a actual recycle. I have a open ticket and will update more at a later date.
-
But where do you do that on the dell side? It does not mention the syntax for entering the passphrase.
-
With so many admins and upgrades and changes, it would be nice to have a button that resets everything back to what Solarwinds deems as the best practice settings.
-
Did anyone get this working with a animated image? All I get is a red background when trying to view it.
-
Is this still working?
-
I am pulling in SNMP info from the chassis but it's not showing up on the APPSTACK ENVIRONMENT page like the UCS.
-
I'm running mostly 2012 R2 servers so that first fix does not apply but good to know for my 2008 servers. I'll try the other fix to correct the BITS issues and report back if it works or not. Thanks again!!!
-
What do you lose by changing this to PRC instead of WMI? I changed mine to RPC and now I only get a quick spike when it polls instead of 30 seconds of 100% pegged CPU.
-
I want the interface metrics though polled via snmp and when trying to use v3 it works one time and then fails all subsequent times after that until I go back into the pure array and edit the localhost manager again. i don't change anything...i just click Save. It works once again then then fails each time after.
-
you wouldn't happen to also know how to have it show more than 5 items at a time would you?
-
Recreating the website did not fix it and now we are trying running through the configuration wizard.
-
One thing that is interesting is that from time to time as well certain databases that were polling correctly change to UNKNOWN yet other databases on the same instance are reporting fine. BTW, we are using AAG's with multiple AAG's on the same instance with multiple listeners, one listener per AAG. few minutes later....
-
I had to find the buried process and dll (SolarWinds.CloudMonitoring.Strings.dll) and kill it before it would let the wizard proceed
-
What is the updated way to report on this?
-
Anyone ever get this working?
-
I don't have a proxy and mine is failing as well.
-
I just went back the ugly background that passes the validation test:http://i.imwx.com/images/maps/current/curwx_600x405.jpg Its ugly and doesn't fill up the white space like http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/Loop/NatLoop_Small.gif did but it will have to do for now.
-
never mind, I see how to do it now. thanks for the quick reply!!!
-
My coworker set up a script to keep updating the image locally and then displays that image instead of the link to internet.

I am also getting this message: Application pool 'SolarWinds Orion Application Pool' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the process(es) serving that application pool. ...and this one: A process serving application pool 'SolarWinds Orion Application Pool' suffered a fatal communication error with…

if not using vman, how can i monitor my 6.5 appliance? i am having issues getting credentials to pass (im polling via ICMP)
-
yes, this occurs in the 'SQL Error Log' and causes the DBA's to get alerts which they have about had enough and they asked us to pull the plug on AppInsight for SQL. Polling usually returns the correct data but we do get a lot of unknowns as well and the constant SSPI alerts.. I've even tried applying this tip and setting…
-
My new ticket number where they stated they would take my restarting of the RPC service once it hits over 10% as a feature request and closed my ticket: Case Update: 772745
-
We had the same problem on Win2008R2 and then when we moved to 2012 R2 it changed to eating up the CPU resources and after a few days the system becomes unusable until we reboot the entire server. You should monitor the RPCSS process and report to SolarWinds because they keep stating it is a Microsoft issue and Microsoft…

Has anyone gotten alerting for blocking to work successfully? If yes, can you share your alert trigger screen showing this?
-
Do you have any examples of you doing this? I too wish VMAN natively could pull in all the things that rvtools does for free so that I could integrate all the work we have done on the VMWARE side of the house and not have to repeat that on the Orion side.
-
The VMAM reporting is lacking many basic things that are free with rvtools that I wish SolarWinds would incorporate into their product. Also, when will VMAN integrate with vcenter and pull in the notes/annotations/tags section so I can add those to my reports?
-
Try this....it works perfect: https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Automatically-redirect-HTTP-to-HTTPS-for-the-Orion-Web-Console?language=en_US

How did you add your firepower devices?
