I was just trying to get an idea of the size of job you are trying to tackle, as I am sure there is a 3rd party app or a custom scripted solution, but that may require a server and a few apps... *parse via another server - but that would still have to be customized to your needs The Trap itself is just a notification…

I know what you mean. I have had different vendors over the years that did not have the desired MIB structure like other brand's similar devices to make device detail and metric gathering an easy task.

There is a little trick you can pull to make this work. * when you only select Unmanaged nodes, the Unmanage option is not active. Select one more node [Emergency Gear, or a Shut down interface (if doing interfaces) - something you do not alert on] Selecting the Managed Node will activate the option to UnManage the set.…

Not sure if you are still having an issue, but your screen shot shows all values at 1 ; which is normal operations. * And your advanced values - with the format adjusted to Enumeration your Alert needs to be changed to the Enumerated Read Value. Otherwise change the "FORMAT" under your Advanced values to "Raw" or "Numeric…

Can you remember? Currently there is this request : http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2479#comment-181495 Which is nice, but if you can adjust this in the DB manually for all/some users that would be Nice!

Could your alert be triggering due to a VM restarting on this host? The alert is pretty standard, just curious if there are any other ancillary events on the server that may be causing the trigger. *events or other log entries that match your time of the triggered alert; because to me this looks okay...

not at all...I have to remember from past projects here, but you should be able to use sends to duplicate your DB to the back up DB. i think in one effort I was a part of was to create a fail over for the DB using cname - so if whatever is monitoring the DB saw an issue the automated response would be to adjust your domain…

make sure they are tabular pollers, and add the Tabular Poller resource. Then you have to edit it, check the columns you want and then the row #'s you want to see. If you only have the poller display resource you may see your tabular pollers, but it will show how many values you have in the table.
-
Give a screenshot of your display, if able please.
-
I do not think it was, a few threads that have a 'Correct Answer' are stuck at 5.2 - seems the underlying issue may have re risen.
-
If you have any servers monitored via SNMP, does the boot time show properly? Note: If you change the polling method you will lose the historical data. If you see this happening this article might help : Nodes report differently on WMI: Last Boot Time Null - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
-
I was thinking you would need to monitor each interface, but polling the interface details and interface status tables should give you node specific details you can display in a table for each node view.
-
Sure, I would enjoy taking a go at this. Currently I do not have any backups...

ttl I can understand your situation.. by no means is anything I say here an attempt at or statement of correction. I have had equal issues with other support as well, and that it just my story. the idea's i have are just the last ditch options when it comes to being in the state of all systems down. In most situations I…

So - a bit of learning I suppose - If you have a Trial Version of anything - Call your Rep and go thru the Sales Engineers...... Even though this was the first item stated on the call with the Support Rep (not Sales) it seemed to be missed and would have helped with the help.... possibly. But for anyone 'trying something…

That actually sounds reasonable. Kinda like, anything wet should be dried with a Towel.

I knew it was in the 7000 range, just was lazy and didn't feel typing that into google. Nice! who adds Milk to Tea? sheesh.. addition-type = ( "*" | milk-type | syrup-type | sweetener-type | spice-type | alcohol-type | sugar-type ) *( ";" parameter ) sugar-type = ( "Sugar" | "Xylitol" | "Stevia" )

With this script, and exit codes being 0 the component will always be up as long as it works. Set the thresholds to = and place a 1 in the critical, so when the service is not running the component will be marked Critical. You can set the exit code to 1 (same as the Statistic) and remove the threshold to mark the component…

I would say try putting these under the same 'ALL' Arguement; should be Status = down, and ADMIN STATUS <> SHUTDOWN I think this may give close to what you need for a up/down possibility. Status should = Operational , and admin=admin;

Okay, I had to recreate your issue and was able to. If I did a copy and paste it seemed to pickup extra characters, I tried to retype the block a couple of times and it kept giving error or failing to see the block properly. So, I viewed the last config DL'ed. Copied the block; and got this (table form and all) 150: ! 151:…

Also when logging with the local machine account - you will need to verify within your intranet/domain using the service account at the start of the recording. If you can bring up a separate intranet site with a web interface for login, or cancel the pop up that you might get to see if the web verification will come up for…

The App may have some scripting/coding that the player can not pick up on. If you have a direct link to a page you want to check that you would see through the app you could navigate directly to the html/css/etc page that loads through the app. Without more details it's hard to TS this completely. Also, if after the login…

I have been fortunate enough to not have that experience thus far. Sorry that one wasn't on the radar.

LOL .. i learned to drop that phrase long ago... it's directional reference. "Do you see ... ... .. in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, next to the date/time?" Confusing components the user should know, and the way the user knows each component KNOWN TERM USER UNDERSTANDS Desktop Your Screen Start Button Your…

Thanks for the update. Let us know how to fares after the UDT fix. I will certainly be doing this on a test box before anything else.

Nice Addition there, Love IT Mark!

If you can find it in a query, but it still doesn't show correctly on the page there is some underlying issue, I would say a support case may be in order. If you have to manually bring the details out that should be there, it is an issue to me. sql query on the module may be a good work around, but I would not want to do…
