Yeah, I understand the process for changing the gauges. My concern is that if I do this it will change that gauge for a lot of components and not just the one; isn't that the case?
-
Yes, we are both viewing the inventory tab for the same node in the NCM client that resides on the server that NCM runs from. When I do this it works fine, when my Network Admin does it, she receives the error I noted.

Ah, this seems to do the trick, it just wasn't where I would have expected it. Thanks Brandon!
-
Thanks, this perfectly answers my question. I don't suppose there is any way to change that value?

Awesome, thanks aLTeReGo!

Thanks Steve for the prompt reply!

We keep an eye on this question to see what we can integrate with natively, but so far haven't heard much of it. I guess my question would be; what options do you provide for Threat Intelligence Feeds to integrate into LEM? If you are waiting to see what you can integrate with natively, what native options do you support?…

Thanks for the info Nicole! I am actually have two different meetings next week to look at Threat Intelligence Feeds, one with a SIEM expert that I have been talking with for over a year on LinkedIn and another with an actual Threat Intel Feed vendor. My hopes are that I can see what capabilities are available, what other…

Also concerned but I also see how they get pulled into other product lines simply by adding customer feature requests. For the features it's still many many times cheaper up front and with maintenance. Sometimes I think they should stop the feature sprawl and clean up long nagging issues. Customers using SW because of…

I should note that SNMP Informant does have a pack for MS Cluster Server but there is a cost associated with it.

As a service provider this as been a HUGE security issue for us as well since we provide access to Orion for our customers. This problem has existed as long as we have had the product and I would really like to see a solution. There are several features of Orion that we avoid using as a result of this issue. At this point…

I just want to re-iterate that we would find it extremely beneficial if syslogs and traps could generate events.... See my comments on this thread regarding a consolidated alert view. I think this would accomplish what you are looking for in a much more integrated way.

The information I receive in the response message is as follows: Subject: ERROR: Your support request could not be processed Body: E-mail tickets are currently disabled for your account. I certainly hope this can be changed as it's vital to moving to the new system were we will no longer be allowing tickets be created by…

Well, I am expecting 1.5 - 2 Gb of logs per day.
-
What detailed information about my network/servers would be of help? I didn't see the log that you reference anywhere on either of my polling systems. How large is too large for that file? Also, if it's possible for that file to get too large wouldn't it make sense to have the system watch this and somehow auto-resolve the…

I have found this as well, and am frustrated that we don't have a solution (as is my management) that works. I have a compellant SAN that is not even breaking a sweat (3 addit'l polling engines, NTA, 2 addt'l web servers, etc... about 20k pollers) I am trying to schedule a meeting with my rep and a dev resource (but I keep…

I would be very happy to see both the Group Administration piece as well as the AD piece. Please sign me up on this feature request also. Cheers!

jeff.stewart while I appreciate you taking the time to comment on this I feel the need to point out that the issues with Syslog and Traps in Orion have been a problem as long as I have been using the software which is somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 years. At this point I am pretty sure it's one of the oldest…

I would really love to see VMAN support some type of Azure monitoring. I have submitted a Feature Request HERE for this. If this support existed it would be an easy sell to have management buy a lot more VMAN licenses.

Sounds like a plan, thanks Jeremy!

I tried to import this template via SAM and received the following error...

Here is a screenshot of the final result!

Can I upgrade IPAM from 4.1 directly to 4.3 without any issues? I had originally posted thisHEREbut thought I would put the question here also for visibility.

Still no Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring for Azure?

Ok, so I have been thinking about this and here is what I have come to: What we know is that when a polling engine polling rate reaches 85% of it's maximum polling capacity it starts throttling the polling; that is documented HERE. Based on this one of the two following things must be true... If that polling rate is based…
-
jeff.stewart thanks for the response. I guess my frustration comes from the fact you market this as "Unlimited"; by definition that means "without limit" and in this case that is not the case. By putting any throttling in place you have placed an artificial limitation into place and thus not Unlimited. I would be more…
-
jeff.stewart so based on your response I take this to mean that in the code for Orion it's basically hard-capped at 12k elements in such a way that it will automatically start scaling back polling once you hit that level; please correct me if I am wrong. This then means that an Unlimited license is not in fact an…
-
dfairles agreed, but I would also argue to move away from "elements" which is confusing and make it just a straight "Node" count.
-
I have actually suggested that before too. Glad to see I am not crazy in my thinking that is the better way to go.
-
dfairles then that doesn't make any sense to me based on everything I have been told and even what I am doing now. I am currently running over 13,000 elements on a polling engine with only one license. I have talked to folks that have ran well above even that on a single license. What am I missing here? Why would I…
