  • Alex if you are looking to do this now.. I think using the Nodes - Caption would be your best option. Example you could add - mute to the end of the caption or something. I know this is less then ideal but just thinking on how you can solve for this now. You could have a db trigger or something on the nodes table that when…
  • Interesting. We have seen instances with NPM traffic where a setting / ”feature” on the firewall called “spoof detection” was dropping some of the Solarwinds traffic thinking it was malicious. This firewall setting was a global setting nothing to do with the specific rule to allow Solarwinds traffic.
  • This is working now with NPM 9.1.. Thanks Solarwinds!! NPM 9.1 is working Great
  • We too are looking for this to work correctly. thanks
  • Sure.. strange to me that it works fine on server 2003 with a setting of 10.
  • Wanted to chime in that I have the same issue with SAM sending NULL's in for the local auth.
  • I believe we are going to be looking into the same thing - a interface variance alarm. Example the rx interface utillization dropped or rose by 10% from the previous poll. I am going to start by writing a sql query that updates a interface custom property column say to a 1 where an interface is in alarm. Then will be easy…
  • No applying SP2 did not make a difference. Still getting timeout errors in the log even after seeing the SNMP get and reply from the device. nmpJobResults xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <Results> <SnmpResult> <ResultType>Error</ResultType> <OIDs />…
  • Are the servers being monitored close network wise to the poller.. or are the servers spread around the country. I am wondering if it’s a timing issue. 90% of the servers we are monitoring are all in the same building as the SAM poller.
  • We are to running into situations where weed need to pull an xml interface for stats. We are currently working on an APM script Thanks
  • Thanks Petr. Not only does “None” work but I tried many combinations of “BulkRow” of size 2-10 and it seems we are only getting “unable to initialize socket” with BulkSize 9 and 10. Any idea why? Thanks again
  • What is the difference between v2 and v3 of your PDF
  • cool.. thanks for checking.. yeah I do not have any grouping setup in my All nodes Tree. Adding a grouping did the trick. Looks like I was selecting the wrong All Nodes resource when not wanting to group by anything. Thanks for your help Tim!!
  • Yes correct sorry i was mixing them up. We have multiple mount points named differently in multiple assigned drive letters. So we have a need to auto discover all of the mount points configured and assign a set of default performance counters on them. Thanks
  • I did find that post before but I could not find the LogAdjuster.exe file anywhere on the disk To put the Web Console in the debug mode, open the \Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\LogAdjuster.exe utility. I have a 2 column view 1st column - event summary, search nodes, all nodes 2nd column - interfaces with high percent…
  • Yes here is more details - the "reset query" took anywhere between 2-3 minutes. Adding index's reduced to 15 - 30 sec. I think adding index's is usuable now but we are concerned about when we double our component count "we will be increasing our component count" now with 4.2 Here is my "reset" query" SELECT DISTINCT…
  • Rob the in/out bps graph looks good but i am seeing the original behavior on the interface percent utilization graph and total byte transferred. Is there a setting we can apply manually to adjust these graphs. Thanks
  • 1205 .. mix of servers and network gear. What server OS are you running. We are running 2008r2 64bit
  • aLTeReGo what about us on 12.3 with Win-2012. Moving to 12.4 is not an option without a complete server rebuild for us. When will a HF for 12.3 be available
  • Case 350069. Uploading Diag now
  • Opened Case 631073
  • Thanks! I have over 1000 pending notifications. I will delete them in a maintenance window.
  • SW is unable to find the issue. Which i don't understand. I see the SNMP gets and responses from the device yet the log says timeout. Looks like they are not going to do anything about it. Adjusting the polling interval did not help any. Note from SW on there findings After much research and testing we have not been able…
  • Thanks
  • What version of SAM are you running. The upgrade to 5.2 fixed our issue with the hung CounterFetcher and ConHosts. . We have almost 11k components on 1 poller
  • Yes I am trying to display separate UnDP results on the same graph. I am not trying to trasform 2 results to 1. Can I request this as a feature or is this already on the enhancement list? Thanks
  • ok getNext is working on 2008. I am still troubleshooting. I confirmed that the 2003 server that was polling the same server was set to BulkRow and was not having an issue. From: Wicks, Brandon E Sent: Wednesday, October 17, 2012 12:01 PM To: 'jive-1266864461-7k7-2-3xr5@solarwinds.hosted.jivesoftware.com' Subject: RE: -…
  • Setting was Bulkrow on both 2003 and 2008. Changing to BulkColumn on 2008 and seeing errors. Going to try getNext 2012-10-17 11:54:40,681 ERROR SolarWinds.APM.Probes.ProbeBase`1 - Unhandled exception. System.ApplicationException: Unable to Initialize Socket. at…
  • SAM 5.2. Will check this out but I call tell you that SAM polling works fine when running on server 2003 and has issues on server 2008. No changes were made .. just moving the server from 1 poller to another using the node management page
