You cannot require attachments on any request type. You can enable or disable attachments on a request type, but that is as far as it goes.

I have asked the same question and the response has been to use the Approval process instead of Parent/Child ticket. So, if you could implement an approval process in your ticket workflow, that may be a solution.

I haven't tried it, but when creating a Custom Field, you can set the field to be editable by Clients, but Required by Techs. Wouldn't that do what you want?

Do you create a Purchase Order and fill in data from the Asset into the Purchase Order, or are you doing this directly within the Asset? I am using the Purchase Order and WHD 12.2.2 and it is working for me.

From what I have been able to figure out, you also need to "Schedule-In" and "Schedule-Out" the Asset before you can complete the Reservation.
