Okay thanks just was curious on when the points would show up.

When ever you do an update to any of the Modules you need to download the additional poller file from the site as well. It will contain the updated files you need for the additional pollers to work. If you only update the main webserver then that will be the only thing working properly.
-
Also did you confirm the settings as you went through the config wizard screens? I know I sometimes blow through them because it normally holds the correct settings. If all else fails try removing 10.5 and install an earlier version and see if the webpage works again.
-
I hope that works because I had a similar issue detecting user pc's when searching. That and I was constantly seeing spikes in some of our core devices at regular intervals. Once I removed the trunked ports the spikes stopped and our search table cleared up.

Did you perform any updates to orion since this alert stopped working? Also will it trigger with altered thresholds like when volume is percent used is over 2 percent or something.
-
You can already do this without a feature request. You create custom tabs on the page in question and then link all the views from various login accounts to it. Example: You want the ability to change any departments Home Summary Page using only the left navigation enabled. 1. Select 1 Main view (Mine is _<Organization> -…

If you happen to know SQL or even have a SQL admin on your team they could create custom alerts by referencing other tables. The normal wizards are geared towards single table uses. I like to use the custom properties to fine tune what gets alerted on and when. If a field is blank I have it so the alert ignores that…

This is our main daily view we see every morning. If anything goes down in the Map section needs immediate attention while down nodes will help show specificly what is down which is helpful especially if something is red in the MAP view. The group view shows who the down nodes belong to in our group. We filtered any nodes…

If I had a home office like that I wouldn't get any work done.

Did you give it time to clear out the old data? I have UDT set to keep historical data for 14 days, detailed 1 day, hourly 7 days, and daily 14 days. If you made a change make sure you wait long enough to see if it made a difference.
-
What do you mean there are no email settings on the advanced alert manager? If your talking about the SMTP server settings you have a tab for that under the e-mail/page action when you go and modify your message.
-
If possible can you send a screen shot on how you have the alert conditions set? It might be as simple as setting the conditions where all nodes must be equal to various nodes at the same time. The image above is a sample alert I setup so that it will only trigger CPU load for any device in a grouping I care about. If you…

Please let us know so in the future we know what the solution was. Thank you

I've seen this happen too and one time the website just died and nothing was being done to it. No updates.. it was just running one minute the next it stopped. Normally stopping all services renaming the origional website to old and running the config wizard fixes this issue but I thought it was odd. One time the website…

I had 10.4.1 and I was getting the same problem. I was hoping 10.4.2 would fix this.

I believe there are 3 levels you can group it by when you click the edit button. Right now based on your picture you have level 1 groups IDC nFrame Carmel , IN IND Firewalls Managed Servers Level 2 groups as shown IDC Network IDC Servers Denver Servers RAH IDC Servers Republic HQ Servers with a bunch of nodes under level 1…

Basically it does not really matter what order you install the other modules you just need to update NPM first before any other module. 1. Update NPM primary poller 2. Update any other modules (no particular order) 3. Run configuration wizard. 4. Update NPM on the Additional Poller 5. Update any other modules 6. Run…

The problem we are seeing is that we have 3 identical stacks and they all are on the same code level. We designed them identically and the only difference is individual port settings and IP address of the stacks. 2/3 are showing errors on the power supplies like the above and one shows everything is normal.
-
If you want me to double check the logic I would like to see a screenshot please. But if it appears to work then it should be fine.
-
It sounds like a problem with the DB server. Did you try running maintenance on it? Like deleting old rows of data? Also did this problem occur after a update was installed? If so did you run the updates as administrators? And after the updates did you run the configuration wizard? Also do you have enough space in your DB…

I completed this but did not get my points yet.

Best way to find possible solutions is thwack the error mesasge you are getting. If you still cannot find it best thing to do is call solarwinds support. You may want to run a diagnostic collection and upload it to them with the case number using SolarWinds.Net | Powered By LeapFILE I normally do that right after the…

Here is mine. I organized last week

Found the solution for this: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/109956#109956 It appears to have worked for me and I saw this Among my THWACK searches. lasher Apr 22, 2010 11:26 AM (in response to andrew) That would be something like: (Message NOT LIKE '*A.DS2*') *

Is there a way for you to export your alert and upload it so we can look at it?
-
The test button in orion normally does not test the logic of the alerts but the triggered actions. The best thing to do is to cut your critera down to the bare minimum and see if it triggers an action. Also if you setup Alert Suppressions you need to remove everything in there to see if something in there is telling it to…
-
Did you install NPM on any additional pollers? If theres mismatched software version it will cause issues. I know I had that problem with NCM once.
-
Thats odd it normally creates new web files after you stop all services and rename the original folder they are stored at. When you installed 10.5 did you run it as administrator?
-
if you reboot the DB the website will be still up as long as you don't reboot the primary app server. You will simply not be collecting any data or view any data on the website untill DB is finished booting.
-
The boot time varies depending on how large the DB server really is. As for risks I always have a backup ready and some server techs available in the event it dies but normally I just do a reboot and comes back on it's own. I think mine took only a few minutes to boot actually but I was just watching pings from command…
