I've used the &DataFormat=Excel before and had it works. But trying it with the Scheduled Discovery Results (this is not a report) gives this error: Unexpected Website Error. A potentially dangerous Request Path value was detected from the client (&).

Hello lazyrabbit, I LOVE this solution for placing NetPaths in widgets. However, I have a residual problem: I can't seem to suppress the Mega Menu (see screen shot below). Of course, I've included the statement in bold you see below in your code, but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions for troubleshooting this problem…

Interesting. Very Interesting. I had idly speculated that it might be possible to use PowerShell from within NCM scripts, and indeed it seems to be possible. So many technologies, so little time.

Good tip, but even after expanding the page size so that all the records show on one page, right clicking and selecting Export to Excel only converts one page. Thanks, though.

Thanks for the reply Mr Marely. The idea of using a daily alert to populate custom properties is excellent, and one that I will surely use. Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply, Adam. Since you say nested DLs can work I'll test them again. The idea of using CASE statements in the TO field is intriguing. Out of curiosity, why to you recommend against it?

Hello Adam, I had pinned my hope on a WPM upgrade solving the problem but upgrading to 2023.2 RC gives no help. I can't find the application ADAccountSettings.exe in any WPM folder to try your solution. The only WPM folder I can find is C:\>dir wpm /s /ad Volume in drive C has no label. Volume Serial Number is 765E-6C72…

I've installed Orion version 2023.2 RC, downloaded and installed the WPM recorder for that version, and the problem still exists.

I've raised this issue with SolarWinds sales technical support and there is no obvious answer. Without being able to answer definitively, my tech rep guessed that this is a genuine bug. He also suggested that this could be resolved in the next WPM release. I'll update with any developments.

Yes, the URL does to a page requesting an ID and password.

I wound up using the old recorder, thanks for the tip.

That's probably it. Thanks Christopher!

Hello sum_giais, this works. I need to tweak a few things, like adding a loop checking to see if the node is already there, but I can handle that. Marked as 'verified answer,' many thanks! Brent

D'oh! Of course that's it. Thanks!
-
That's a great idea; I'll give it a try. Thanks!

Windows 2019 Service Pack none.

Got it! Thanks.
-
Bonus! I'll experiment with this. Thanks again.

Hello JblankJblank, thanks for the reply. We're running 2019.4. I'll take a look at 2020.2 and also manually created links. -- Brentbo

Thanks Tony!

Thanks for the reply. The issue has 'resolved itself' and hasn't recurred. Thanks again.

Thank you Tony for this thoughtful and detailed answer. I was beginning to understand that the Alert was operating correctly, it just wasn't what I expected. Thanks again!

Thanks for the response. I didn't know that Microsoft recommends using an admin users for SCOM. I would much prefer to continue using SNMP, but (1) only SNMP v2 is natively supported by Microsoft, and many companies prohibit clear text protocols; (2) it's my sense -- correct me if I'm wrong -- that WMI provides more…

Thanks for the feedback. I am aware of the certificates issue, and I guess all I'm asking is if the credentials exist in a single SQL table. We have debated the merits of importing the existing SQL database to the new SQL server, and may yet do so. But this is a large deployment and we believe that the database as it…

We currently have NPM, NCM, NTA and IPam installed. We are planning on a new installing of these four modules, then adding VMan and WPM. SMan, too, but that's stand-alone.

Excellent work, Adam. I'm new to a SolarWiinds site and I'm seeing this problem. Your meticulous work is appreciated.
-
Thanks, Neo, I'd seen that. However, our web server table does not contain any old web server names.

Hey Marc, Thanks for the reply. Incidentally, I was talking about employment to Loop1 at one point, though other things came up. Sorry to be so obtuse, but I'm one of those simpletons who works mostly on the network side. When I select Process Monitor WMI.... ....I get prompted for an IP address. I'm sure I'm missing…

Hey Chris, thanks. I thought I tried a fresh download. What I'm going to try next is to reboot, delete anything *.ova, do a fresh download, and try again.
