My company just announced all trouble tickets and requests are going to be reviewed by one of our internal departments before being assigned out to the various teams. They are going to ensure they were handled correctly before being passed on to the next level as well as review the amount of cost/time they are consuming.

Is blockchain living up to the hype? One of my former team members drove a Chevy Volt so he could be kinder to the environment but then got mixed up with mining Bitcoin. Next thing you know he has an LLC set up and commercial electric brought into his home. Then cooling, backup power etc and the next thing you know he has…

It's so silo'd at my company that every department buys their own tools. I'm not going to worry about losing my netflows, I'll just send them over to one of the four other departments that store Netflow.

"5,000 troops to Colombia"? - People in the United States don't understand how bad the situation in Venezuela is. Last time I went I had a hard time finding food, at any price.

"Back in the day" we had some memory stolen out of a server over Thanksgiving Holiday in a facility that was closed for the holidays. Monitoring picked up the exact time the server went down and came back up and the memory size change. There were only a few individuals working in a gated, fenced, locked facility and the…
