Great post!

@"mesverrum"That is an excellent query! Thanks

I have had similar instances and sometimes its in the alert logic and once in awhile I just re-create the alert and it works. Here is one tip I use. You can pull the SWSQL from the alert trigger and view it in SWSQL Studio by getting it from the area below. Sometimes this helps in troubleshooting.

Look at getting a copy of Kiwi Syslog Server and letting that product do it for you. It's fairly inexpensive and is available at SolarWinds main site.
-
Thanks! I have a case open #00416120 however I need to get my maintenance straightened out first as somehow it didn't get paid on time so they 'shut off the power'

I set up a new SQL 2016 SP2 Database specifically for Netflow. When I went through the wizard all of the database connection questions were answered for both the Orion and Netflow databases just fine. The installer starting going through the remaining part of the install like everything was going to be great then stopped…

Can upload the photo if you need to.

You can probably exclude some of the pollers from the alert here, I haven't tried it on a poller alert yet though.

If I then try to reinstall I get this
-
Good to know. That is the issue I am having. I will let my network guys know. Thanks!

Set C::\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe ${N=Alerting;M=AlertObjectID} Slightly different but this is what I used

If you look at the details in the link in the above post and can set up the Orion server as a admin user on your remote computer you will be able to execute any script you want on the remote machine.
-
I got it working both ways, using the servicecontrol.exe thats built in to Solarwinds and also executing a VB script to restart the service. It was cause by a rights issue trying to execute a script against a remote server. The link below has some details on how to fix it. Re: Alert triggering PowerShell Script

So what is happening is some users are retiring equipment and forgetting to ask to have it removed from monitoring. The initial alert sends a notification letting them know the node is down. If the node continues to remain down after several hours I want to continue to send notifications every few hours until its either…
-
Awesome! Thank you. We already had an unlimited so the change doesn't affect us.
-
I found this one, worked great Has anyone figured out how to create report that actually shows all acknowledged alerts with NOTES ?
-
Worked with Support on this today and mesverrum is correct in his answer. You can only have one alert trigger, per node, per rule. Until that one is reset no others will show up in the All Active Alert console.
-
Thanks! mesverrum I'm still new to the product and working through how the alerts are going to work. We have a lot of hosts that send syslogs or traps in rapid succession such as whenever someone swipes an entry badge. I will have to get creative.
-
There are a couple reset options, I tried both with the same results. It appears that the alert is only grabbing the first event that happens within the alert cycle and skipping the rest.
-
This is great many thanks!
-
That's the process - what m-milligan just said. Import is similar.
-
Thank you I have a WebEx with Support this afternoon. It sounds like I may need to reinstall some components. Everything else appears fine.
-
Thanks zackm I have a ticket open for this. Hopefully this helps!
-
You can also use a custom table resource mentioned above and it will look like this. You can shape the tables any way you want. Below is Node Status and a SAM Component This is only a single frame from one of my dashboards

Here is some other things to try Re: Using PowerShell scripts without PowerShell Remoting enabled
-
Congrats!
-
How many routers and switches can you monitor with 'said product?'
-
Thanks Lindsey, I will give it a try
