Sorry, pull this off the above query - Nodes.CustomProperties._Group I have a Custom Property defined in my environment called _Group. The one below should work and look like this. SELECT NodeName AS [Node Name], '/Orion/images/StatusIcons/Small-' + StatusIcon AS [_IconFor_Node Name], DetailsUrl AS [_LinkFor_Node Name],…

So the link basically had 2 steps. 1. Create a report using report writer. 2. Add the report as a panel to your dashboard In the "Nodes with Problems " view I would like to see a column that shows "LAST CHANGED " similar to the one in the "Down Interfaces" view Using Report Writer you can filter out which nodes you want to…

Yes the alerting is very simple. If you were able to figure it out on SCOM you will have no problems with the Solarwinds alerting engine and SAM.

@ mesverrum Thanks! Made the update and the resource look great!
-
@ mesverrum Totally Awesome! Thank you Working great! This is a real time saver in creating dashboards for teams that just want the basic stats. Instead of making them a custom dashboard every time I can just throw a group together for them.

I did typo - forgot an OR Try this InterfaceName Like '*es*' OR InterfaceName Like '*ms*' OR InterfaceName Like '*hs*' OR InterfaceName Like '*bg*' AND OperStatus = 2 AND AdminStatus <> 4

I did open a case #1079025 today. I will update the thread once it is resolved.

At least you can bulk add the ICMP only nodes back in with Network Discovery.
-
I set this up as an action on my Reset Action tab. Execute an external program then paste in the line below. I believe you need to be at least at version 12 for this to work. Set C::\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe ${N=Alerting;M=AlertObjectID} It acknowledges the message, but its then gone from the alert…

I'm running 2019.4 HF5 and mine loads after about 45 seconds, but it does load.

My old environment had 31 servers running different pieces/parts of Solarwinds. The most recent upgrades were taking 40+ minutes per server to complete so I had to break it into different systems and different days. The company only allowed changes on Mon-Thursday so it took me 2 weeks to complete the upgrade.

You really need to dig for this to find it. Here is why our install didn’t work today. I got this message: The NTA Flow Storage database account requires the ALTER ANY CONNECTION permission in order to schedule and optimize the daily database maintenance task. This ensures that SolarWinds minimizes the performance impact…

Yes, you have it! Create custom poller using the OID above, assign it to your nodes, and then create a report. You could also create an alert as well if needed. If you want to use a SWQL query to create a widget here is the query. Use the NodeID for your specific ASA devices and whatever you named your poller. SELECT TOP…

If its a one time thing I would probably just generate a report that showed IP and the two custom properties that you are looking for and import it using the custom properties import. That should be easy using Report Writer.

@ rschroeder were you able to upgrade from 12.01 to 12.2, skipping 12.1? I was trying to upgrade 12.01 to 12.1 in my lab environment and it corrupted my installation. I'm re-installing 12.01 and then going to try going directly to 12.2 this time.
-
You can do it in your SQL query COMPLETED = 1 ERROR = 2 PROCESSING = 3 etc...
-
We do as well. We are running a shared instance of Solarwinds that supports multiple companies.
-
Yes, that was the fix. Actually kind of embarrassing that I had done that but hey we all make mistakes I'm going to go through all of my transactions today and change them over to a different account,
-
I found it! A different chart.
-
rschroeder, did you ever got the interface monitoring on the 15454's working? I would be happy with just utilization if it's possible? Please let me know.
-
Thank you!

Optionally copy all of your configs to a directory on a Linux machine and grep that directory for 'channel' or ingest them into Splunk and do a search for "*channel*"

Thanks for posting this.

Thanks for posting this, I tried using an advanced SQL alert and one of the limitation I ran into was it only grabbed the most recent event. If there were more than one event in the alert they could get missed. I'm going to give this a try next.

InterfaceName Like '*es*' OR InterfaceName Like '*ms*' OR InterfaceName Like '*hs*' InterfaceName Like '*bg*' AND OperStatus = 2 AND AdminStatus <> 4 If I didn't typo anything

Here is another good piece of information that sales forwarded on to me. Network Atlas tooltip variables When you can't use connect now for some reason such as it being a WAN Link you can still show the utilization of the links using the Label Variables from the link above. I used something similar to this to display mine…

I still have not heard from support on case #1079025 I'm really hoping the rider didn't get ambushed bringin' my reply....
