  • This is the correct location to find them, but I am talking about where are they on the ESXI host? I am suspecting that the HP version of the VMWARE ISO is missing the MIBs. Please correct me if I am wrong because there is a lot of "ASSUMING" going on here. When I try to add a poller with Solarwinds, I get "The OID is not…
  • Ding Ding Ding! I am having this same issue. I have 3 separate tickets on this exact problem with support since we made the plunge to NPM12. The last moron SolarWinds Support Rep told me to install 12.1, it will fix it. So, I reviewed the changelog for 12.1 and nowhere does it mention Reboot alerts. I followed up with the…
  • I did create a group for these objects but in the end I followed superfly99's suggestion to use "contains" = esxi01. This should work because only these off-site hosts contain this naming schema. I am preparing to test the alert to ensure it works as expected. I am also looking into HolyGuacamole's suggestion to create a…
  • @Jason, I prefer to not get special treatment, and that your support should be more responsive to all calls. (also do not have an open ticket at this time) @Mike.. I know what you mean, my network team refuses to upgrade ever again because they get "burned" every time an update or FIX is applied (I think they are still on…
  • You should be working on firing the entire NPM support office. It is god awful. I call and call and never get a human. I have; more than once, sat on hold for 59 minutes until the call finally gets disconnected. If I log a ticket online, no one contacts me back, ever. Its so bad that I just "deal" with my issue knowing it…
  • Excellant write up!
  • Here is what one of the Emails contains: User mike.hunt account properties changed. Summary: uac values Date: 2015-12-16 13:48:50.0 I would like to include the details of which administrator made the changes.
  • I use Opera as my browser and it works well. IE11 also seems to work without issues for me on Windows 10.
  • I was wondering about this myself recently (about VMAN). Currently, we have Storage Manager (or whatever its called nowadays) and we get daily and weekly reports that shows current usages and predicted capacity. So, Pratik: Look into the Storage Manager product, I believe this would get you the reports you are wanting.
  • We use Solarwinds to make a TCP request on port 13000 and if the port is unreachable we have a trigger action to restart the service. . We also use PACS, but do not currently have anything setup (successfully) in solarwinds for these.
  • I am with you guys on this one. Node categories need more than just Server, Network and Other. Feature Request??
  • Okay, so I am not sure why Support wasn't able to suggest a better way of doing this. I guess you get what you ask for, and I was asking how to monitor the temp with SNMP on ESXI hosts (on HP hardware). The solution is\was: NOT SNMP! I was adding a new node myself and was surprised that there was an option for VMWare…
  • UPDATE: I am trying to get an HP engineer to take a closer look for me. Also, It was advised to STOP using the HP version of the ESXI installer. No reason was given, but I have a gut feeling that they know this modified version is missing a few things.
