Oddly enough, I was just coming here to look for a UnDP for OpenGear. Hopefully it already exists.

Uploaded. Nexus 5k. Ran into same issue on the SNMPwalk.

I challenge you to not make it a "puff piece" just to make the executives feel all warm and fuzzy. Hopefully you will capture some real life stories of folks having issues, dealing with tech support, and what the product does and doesn't do. Come film my "Advanced ASA Monitoring" not working at all. Or maybe the 6 months…

I'd claim to have answered this myself, but it's on a Cisco forum that I found my answer. I kinda don't like the 'solution', but i had to stop the false alerts. The 'solution' is at the very bottom. Here's the article link: Solved: Te1/1/X Bias Current Sensor Solar Wind ... - Cisco Community Cisco TAC told me the Bias…

I'd love to see an "Update MIB" function added to SolarWinds to update as needed. Seems like this would be something you would have done already by now given how often these can change. An auto update would be nice, but at least can we get an updater that we can run manually as needed?

Does SolarWinds support not answer questions that are not answered by the community? Is that crazy thinking?
-
Post the script you are using for your custom table so we can take a look at helping you to embellish it.

Did we ever get an answer for this?

Now that SolarWinds has an all in one upgrade tool, it's a MUCH shorter process than it used to be. This is a difficult question to answer because it depends on how you have your SW environment set up. How many pollers? Separate web server? Those kinds of things make things different. I'd figure about an hour of downtime…

Excellent question. We are moving from HipChat to Slack within the next few weeks and I'd like to be able to send alerts directly to specific Slack groups.

I'm a big believer in upgrading, but in this case, you don't have to. You can simply download the latest MIB DB from SolarWinds (they update it weekly) and import it into your environment. I wish they would make an "Upgrade MIB DB" button for us to do it automagically, but it's a lil bit of a manual process atm. You can…

Does the SolarWInds tech support team ever go through and answer any of these questions we post when the user community doesn't? Seems like this one would be an answerable question for them.

I had a similar problem with a new device recently. Try going into the 'Edit Properties' for the device and go all the way down to the bottom. Under 'Communication', set the 'Use Keyboard Interactive Authentication' to "yes" and try again. Not sure if this'll fix your issue, but it's possible. Can't hurt to give it a test.

I'm working this same question. We are using ASA firewalls and have found two OIDs that are getting me in the right direction. (I believe) 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.77.1.2.1 - Gives me the current count of the number of entries in the cnatAddrBindTable 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.77.1.2.2.1.7 - Gives me the number of sessions currently using…

I'm wondering if anyone else has attempted to monitor Cisco ISE with any of the SW products? I've been having a tough time getting this set up in my SW environment.

A lot of it depends on what data you need to pull. A good starting point is the 'Nodes' table (or NodesData). That table has a lot of the basics in there that will get you started. Depending on what data you want to see, you may need to join some other tables with the Nodes table. Your 'NodeID' will typically be your…

We use NetBox as our repository for information pertaining to the network. We would like to have IPAM set up with the subnets as per NetBox, but have IPAM do the daily scanning and push updates back into NetBox to update individual IP address information.

Hey wahorn, bad news.... You are shooting too low on your upgrade versions. You need to go straight to Windows 2016 and SQL 16 or 17. If you ever plan on upgrading, you are gonna need the newer version as SolarWinds has stopped supporting even Windows 2012. Bite the bullet, make the leap, future you will thank me. Install…

Yeah, we run NPM, NCM, IPAM, UDT, and SAM all on the same box. We have a separate DB server that has just the one database for SolarWinds. We also split the web server off to it's own device to handle all of the web requests. I highly recommend splitting the poller and DB server at the bare minimum. Give your DB server as…

Will SolarWinds be working on any integrations with Cisco ISE? Since ACS is going away, seems like more people will be migrating to ISE.

Since ACS is going away, we have migrated to ISE and I'd love to know how much SolarWinds can do to monitor our instances. I'm curious if anyone else has set up ISE to be monitored by SW and if they encountered any issues. I've had a case open with Cisco for a few weeks now just trying to get ISE into SW via SNMP instead…
