Dell 3024s do not have a cli. They use a menu for configuration. There is a recovery menu, but it has nothing to do with configuration.

You would want to use Wireshark: https://www.wireshark.org/download.html You will get a packet capture and make sure you are receiving traps from your Linux device.

Marty to start with, please open Variations for this device, and go to the Modify Output tab. Select all 3 options in the Strip Characters section, save and run the activity again.
