Are the errors that you are seeing Error and Warning, or are they Audit Success/Failure entries?
-
Try using Variations with the generic device type. Go to the Modify Output tab, and check all boxes under the Strip Characters section. Let me know if this helps.
-
If you look in your errorlog.txt file, do you see any errors?
-
Dave, I would recommend submitting a feature request.
-
If you install Kiwi Syslog on a different server, you can choose which syslogs/traps are forwarded to your NPM server.
-
Brett, Please try the steps in this link: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-187351
-
Please check out these links: https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Kiwi_Syslog_Server/Unable_to_bind_ports_while_trying_to_configure_Secure_TCP_input_in_Kiwi_Syslog_Server and…

Currently Kiwi Syslog does not forward SNMP traps, only syslogs. It can send SNMP traps, but not spoof them. I hope this clears things up.
-
freemen. It is the same in version 9.
-
If you ping the system name from the command line, does it resolve to the correct IP address?
-
You have to ask yourself what do you need to be alerted for. You will want to set up E-mail action to notify you if specific syslogs come in. You want it so specific that you are not getting so many alerts that you ignore them.
-
Try going to Options/Setup and then the Misc tab. You will see this: Select the Set the timer to on.
-
Please see this link: Affordable network monitoring software from SolarWinds ipMonitor
-
What account was NTM installed under?
-
The last few releases of ipMonitor have included new features. Like: Generic WMI Monitor SNMP v3 Polling Support Support for Interface-MIB 64-bit counters Added ability to report on values from ADO Query Monitor Active Directory integration The ability to clone a monitor across multiple devices.
-
J J, I would recommend getting a Wireshark capture, and checking the priority there. If you are seeing Emergency there, you will want to see if you change the priority on the device side.
-
1. Support for 2012 R2 was not added until version 9.4.2. 2. As long as your maintenance is current you can install the latest version. If you are not current Kiwi Syslog will go into free mode. See this link: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/free-vs-paid-edition.aspx

If you are using Network Topology Mapper, you can go to File\Export\Network Atlas You will have the option to Open directly in Network Atlas (If it is installed on the same system) or Export as a map. With the second option, you can move the map to your Network Atlas system.
-
Can you let me know what exactly you are trying to do, and the model of the Cisco device?
-
Please post Putty log information showing these commands being run.
-
Are you seeing any errors?
-
Where are you wanting to add this column?
-
Has the ssh connection method changed in the checkpoint upgrade?
-
Do you see any errors in the Windows event logs.
-
Npm et NTM ne fonctionnent pas ensemble avec l'exception de pouvoir exporter des cartes vers Network Atlas.
-
You can submit a feature request here: Kiwi Syslog Feature Requests
-
There is a feature request to add this functionality, but the ability to send logs via E-mail does not currently exist.
-
This link will explain the difference between the free and licensed versions: https://www.kiwisyslog.com/free-tools/kiwi-free-syslog-server
-
Kiwi Syslog will not delete any data from a database. You will need to do it with a script.
-
Jon, Since this appears to be an urgent matter, I would recommend contacting your sales person, so they can put you in touch with a sales engineer.
