I have just opened a ticket regarding this.

See post #113 in this thread. 11.5 is the major revision number, but 11.5.3 is the minor revision or patch level. If you are at 11.5.2 I believe you should still have access to upgrade to 11.5.3 even if your maintenance is out, but you will not have access to version 12. I will cede to the Solarwinds employees wisdom on…

Jiri, I had previously put in a feature request asking for SFTP support in NCM. You marked it as IMPLEMENTED. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/4291 But now you say: Jiri Cvachovec wrote: The tool used by NCM is our SFTP/SCP free tool. It can handle SFTP but NCM cannot. That's for the case when the transfer goes through…

Yes, I would configure the CUCM and Unity DRS with the IP of the NCM server. I would configure the SFTP tool with username and password and directory. Most of the files will succeed except the largest files, for those the SFTP server tool just seems to time out and the back up is not successful.

I'm not so sure. I just went back and adjusted that example policy to the more correct logic, updated all reports and ran the report. (This policy is the only policy added to the report in question) But it's still running it against devices that have "FW" and "VPN" in the name. I'm gonna have to try your SQL method.

OK FOLKS! If you want to have this feature too, up vote this idea!!! http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3965

I have exactly the config on my ASR that lutherapalis sugguested above, but I am also getting the exact same error jeilian is getting. Has anyone solved this in any other way besides rebooting the router? This is on my primary WAN router and I really don't want to have to schedule a company-wide outage if I don't have to.

I appreciate your response. The weird thing is, when I change the hostname on our cisco devices, SOME of them will change the Node Name in Orion. Of course the system name changes too, but I need to be able to stop the Node Name from changing.
-
Actually it is IVIM. But when I added them as nodes to Orion then it required WMI. I got it figured out.
-
Agreed!
-
Thanks. I'm going to request it right now. I appreciate your vote!
-
This just saved my day. Thanks!
-
Nope! Solarwinds staff have already said that you must either upgrade to 11.5.3 or to version 12.
-
Yes, I am sure I asked in a previous thread if SFTP was built into NCM, and the answer was yes! I logged into the NCM server and there it was under the Tools menu.
-
I see what you are saying. However, none of our cisco device names are in DNS. No DNS changes are happening. But we are changing the local hostnames.
-
So let me see if I understand correctly. If I say: 1. Vendor IS Cisco 2. AND Name IS XXX 3. OR Equipment IS NOT YYY 4. AND Name IS NOT ZZZ In this case I will have created two "dual condition" rules? The first being 1 & 2 and second being 3 & 4?

Just implemented this in NPM 10.7 and we are loving it.
-
I have a similar complaint but mine is with CUCM 8.6 and Unity Connection. I can't get NCM's SFTP server to successfully backup all my CUCM and Unity files from the Disaster Recovery System interfaces.
-
Here is what I tried so far. I added a World Map resource in Column 1 and then Custom HTML in Column 2. In the Custom HTML, I added an IFRAME tag with a link to an internal company web report. The IFRAME failed to load the page. Anyone have a better idea?

I am having the same issue with a 250Mbps line plugged into my Gigabit port on my router. I have the bandwidth command on the router interface set to 250Mbps, and I can look at the Interface Details in NPM and it says: ReceiveTransmit INTERFACE BANDWIDTH 250.0 Mbps 250.0 Mbps CONFIGURED INTERFACE SPEED 250.0 Mbps But when…

Look at what your device names are. If your naming standard identifies types of devices you may be able to isolate your NX-OS/FWSM/ASA devices by name. Something like: Node_ID is not *Firewall or System Name is not ASA* or *VPN
-
Yes, I am refering to Solarwinds SFTP/SCP Server free tool.
-
Someone took their JIVE water bottle into the data center and spilled it on the Thwack server.
-
Perhaps someone could also explain the difference between Node Name and System Name in the database?
