  • silverbacksays - Thanks for the reply, But the server does have a Client Authentication cert. So while your theory seems sound it doesn't seem to work Thanks
  • aLTeReGo - Thanks for the info. The duplicate maps do seem to appear after Network Atlas crashes, which seems to happen much more frequently with the new version. I will definitely back up my maps directory and then proceed with deleting the duplicate maps. Thanks again
  • Vinay BY - Yes I was sure about the listing for all in-use component monitors. You suggested method worked perfectly and as suspected the list of component is quite long and contains duplicate entries. All of which I figured would happen. But my manager is now happy which in-turn makes me happy. Thanks again
  • Vunay BY - Thanks your suggestion worked like a champ
  • Bronx. Thanks for the quick response and the link to the RNs for SAM 6.2 Much appreciated
  • mharvey - Thanks for the reply and information. I'm glad you made reference to Custom reports, I totally spaced those and I do have several custom reports we have created. I would have been totally bummed if I had forgotten to migrate them over. Nice thing about using VM's though is that my plan is to not blow away the…
  • Lukas - I had read the listed thread and wasn't sure if that was the same issue. I guess I will just need to wait for v5.5 to go to production release. Thanks for the rapid response! Thanks again Smitty
  • Okay here are the steps I used to solve my issue. I know it will absolutely make no sense. First off, as a reminder we're using the new Agent on our web servers. This is because tcp 5986 is not yet opened (through our FWs) to the web servers. Because of this we're not able to use the WinRM https listener. Our web servers…
  • ec-umass - It's super easy. SAM comes with a SSL Certificate Expiration Date template. What I do in our environment is copy the template then rename the template, placing our company name at the beginning of the template. This is not necessary but this way I don't modify the canned template. After that simply assign the…
  • Why not just add the PO information in the Custom Properties section of the node? I realize it will take some manual input, but you would be adding the link to each node anyway so the effort needed is about the same. Just a suggestion!
  • Had a typo - "TCP/177991 (Agent comms to server 2008 R2)" should have read TCP/17791 .... The port # was the typo. Sorry for my fat fingers
  • Issue seems to be fixed with the new version "Orion Platform 2015.1.2, SAM 6.2.1, DPA 9.2.0, QoE 2.0, IVIM 2.1.'
  • Here's another question. As I prepare to migrate to new servers I'm in the process of backing up things I think I may need to move over. Report is one of the things. But, I can't seem to find some of the WEB reports that I created. I have looked in \Program Files x86\SolarWinds\Orion\Reports but they are not there. Is…
  • Kreases The error message you received concerning the SSL certificate is because the CN entry on the machine cert you have for your server does not match the CN of your server. I ran into this same issue. For me the server cert I had listed the CN as server1.mycompany.com when it should have just been server1. I got an…
  • Are you trying to run the PowerShell script locally, on the polling engine, or remotely, on the monitored node? If you want to run the PoSh script on the monitored node make sure you have the execution mode for the component monitor set to "Remote Host".
  • aLTeReGo - That is what I used. I simply copied it and added the department discriminator since one set of alerts will go to a different group of Administrators since they own and manage the hardware. I may have it working now, I'm thinking that there were just a bunch of e-mail alerts still in the queue after I made the…
  • clubjuggle - Thanks for the help on this. It never dawned on me that both conditions would have to be met. I made your suggested change but it did not achieve the desired solution. I just received an alert for the temperature sensor being up. Shown below is what the alert trigger looks like now and below it is a shot of…
  • clubjuggle - Here a screen shot of the trigger. I had originally had it set to HW Sensor Status Description is equal to Warning and the other was set to Critical. The reset condition is set to "Reset this alert when the condition is no longer true (Recommended) Thanks
  • Slaj - No the alerts are not coming from the reset condition. We can go sever months without seeing any of these "non-alerts" alerts. Then out of the blue they will come flooding in. clubjuggle - We are getting down alerts which is what has me scratching my head. I have checked and double checked my alert trigged and its…
  • Arani - Here is a screen capture of what I have set up. Mine is for HTTPS, but the only change you would need to do is is change port 443 to 80. Other than that is should be straight forward
  • Outback9999 - Did you ever come up with a solution to this issue. I'm experiencing the same problem with one of my polling engines. I have basically done all of the same trouble shooting steps you and others mentioned in this thread and I have yet to fix the issue. My Application monitors have been stuck in :Initial poll…
