I'd like this a lot. If I could just group my alerts by team in the Advanced Alert Manager, especially if I could expand and collapse them, it'd be a huge help.
-
Any motion on this? We're considering buying SRM but if it doesn't support Data Domain that may affect the decision.
-
Perfect, that is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much (for writing this and responding)!

I think the key thing is making it so you can give your users the ability to Unmanage without also handing them the ability to delete a node. But to answer Mav's question above (first response to OP), though only in response to NPM at the moment: 1) Unmanage/Remanage Nodes 2) Edit Properties 3) Add/Delete Nodes 4) List…

It's all right, he's 22 and has some catching up to do.

That said, if SolarWinds is the only thing talking to each endpoint over WMI, how many open ports would be enough to comfortably poll your DMZ servers? Is SAM/NPM making more than one concurrent connection to the server when it collects statistics?

Copied my comment from in regards to suggestion #3 (this thread looks like it got more visibility): Has anyone looked into this? It's not a huge part of everyday administration, so I can see how it gets overlooked, but it'd be a great timesaver when you're having to modify one part of a discovery (or especially one part…

At the time I posted this, the only ones available were listed above. Has that changed?
-
Yeah, there's some serious untapped potential here.

Has anyone looked into this? It's not a huge part of everyday administration, so I can see how it gets overlooked, but it'd be a great timesaver when you're having to modify one part of a discovery (or especially one part each of a lot of them) and don't need to change anything in the 8-9 (depending) other screens you have…

I can see it. It'd be a timesaver to define a user class with a specific set of rights, default homepage, et cetera, and then whenever new users or AD groups are added just slap the class on it..

Upvoting this. The amount of effort that goes into keeping AppInsight from coming up and throwing off all my SAM applications has honestly made me give up on maintaining my SAM applications. *Please* make it an opt-in feature, it is too reliant on elevated creds (and therefore, in my environment, just hangs dead off the…

Any word on this possibly happening? If what RichardLetts said was true, it's been over three years. SDK can be a lot more powerful a tool than it currently is, and a lot of people would be very happy.

Is there any way to run a command and set a conditional based on the output of the command?
-
Probably could've submitted this as a discussion, but if you're having this issue see above. It's solved.
-
Thanks so much! This will be some awesome functionality to open back up.
-
If they want another sample to review, I've got #00960413 open too
-
Good call. I just threw a support ticket in and we'll see what they come back with.
-
Just checking, did you see anything like the link I posted above? It didn't explicitly say anything about the job or List Resources, just an unhandled exception that led to timeouts in RabbitMQ. Just checking to see if it's coincidence or not.
-
Seeing the same thing trying to List Resources from the API, these ones are SNMP and WMI nodes as well.
-
Comparably dumb answers: * Yes for me, 2020.2.6 * Not that I've seen; I've tried it on several nodes, some SNMP and some WMI, with no luck. Haven't tried it on an agent yet, but we're mostly agentless in our environment. * Yes, I'm running it with my own account and that's the one I've been using to test List Resources…

I've got the same issue, and it works fine from the GUI but not from the API.
-
Trying to do the same thing in Python, and it just indefinitely hangs on Unknown despite having no trouble from the web console. Almost wondering if we need to put in a feature request to get it fixed.
-
It did, and it was.
-
Well awesome, thanks for all the info!
-
Hey, I'm not seeing this, and if I try to edit the application template I get an error:
-
Thanks again!
-
Fun fact: I ended up having to do this last week.
-
Thanks for replying. I got it figured out. Had to apply a hotfix.
-
Tried that. It's what was suggested above.
