@"zibby" go the All Active Alerts dashboard, and either acknowledge or clear the triggered instance of the alert and see if it reappears.

@"[Deleted User]" the correct method is provided by @"shuth" to change the SQL username/password SW uses to make a connection. When you run the solarwinds configuration wizard its the 2nd page that is displayed to you, you need to run though this again and updated the sql username and password for NPM/NTA & Log Manager

so not sure if this is a fix for you guys or not, but i went to install hotfix 1 and ran into some issues where the Tools for Web need to be removed. I removed it and triggered a repair on all solarwinds services and ran the configuration wizard again. installed the hotfix 1 without any issues and reinstalled tools for…

I gave this a try and it worked, however when the browser was closed down and reopened, the error message came back again :( Support closed my ticket down 00854987 cause I went on Annual Leave for 3 weeks and reopened it under 00883493 We performed Clear website cache and rebuild the website to avoid unexpected errors in…

Hi Marcorobison, just a follow up, using incognito mode for chrome and inprivate mode for edge, I don't get the error displaying, supplied this feedback to the support tech along with diags from my main poller/console and its getting escalated. So wait and see.
-
Thanks Marcorobison, i'll give that a try, currently letting the configuration wizard finish as I went through it again and unticked windows authentication because I wanted automatic login via AD.
-
planglois did you manage to resolve it? i currently have my orion to authenticate users via LDAP, using kerbros as auth type. support guy had to leave and go to another call, then he'd contact me again to resume again.
-
marcobinson, problem only seems to happen with Chrome & Edge. Firefox appears to be unaffected. support has just answered my ticket, working though IIS config now.
-
I'm getting constant website unexpect errors - Unable to verify session messages since upgrading to 2020.2.6. have logged a support ticket #00854987. will post back any feedback I get.

Hi SteveDBrown, When open command prompt from your main poller, and perform tracert -d -w 1 10.22.32.7 do you get any results back? have you tried point a port scanner against the host to verify what ports are open and test against them? is there a firewall between the mainpoller and the endpoint?

Things like custom reports and UDP's you need to export. everything else is held in the database. But if you want to be safe, you can export the list of your nodes or interfaces with CP vaules via the Mange Custom Properites section to csv file to repopulate via import. things like groups, i couldn't find a way to do this…
-
spross, you can create a group and setup a dynamic query to automatically add the servers into it, not sure what you would use for the query but i assume you would use this same thing for the sql string you are trying to create. Than assign the custom property and hey presto!

Make sure your FUS (Field Update Software) which is a completely different package to the Wireless LAN Controller is at its most currently level. Netflow & AVC was added with version 1.9.0.0. Best practice is to have the FUS, Field recovery image and Emergence recovery image closely matched to the current WLC software…

spross let me know if you find the below useful. below are the steps to display group members from a group that has a custom property assigned to the group with SWServers. with a custom table widget on a dashboard.

we have many 4300 ISRs monitored in NPM 12.5 without any issues. maybe upgrade software?
-
@"dchristensen"give this customer poller I created a try, I wasn't happy with what solarwinds native poller was doing in how it it was processing snmp data. When you import the poller and assign it, your pulse nodes will display this.
-
Upgraded from 12.3
-
what software version and model versions do you have running? I don't have any issues under 8.0.152.0 for my 7500's ?
-
I reviewed the following article on the support knowledge base NPM 12.5 Requirements and adjusted to my organizations needs. so your hardware requirements may be completely different.

no i haven't seen a performance hit with the Orion and nta databases being hosted on the same sql server. our new sql server 2019 install is on ssd storage. compared to our old install its night and day. our flow rate is about 7,000/sec which the team and myself is very happy about.
-
no we didn't face any issues with upgrading. the process was fairly good compared to previous upgrades. For the ports you need open, read the SolarWinds Port Requirements. You need to give this article a really good look over as the list you shared is incomplete, and you going to run into major problems. It might look…
-
cdaniel that article is pretty accurate, one thing i can't stress enough backup or snapshot your sql server, once you run the configuration wizard on the new server, it runs a sql schema and updates the database, which you can't roll back, so very important step. files and folders is related to if you have created custom…

This is the best way to update the nodes to use correct credentials.
-
Craig, how are to showing this information on the dashboard? I'm interested to see if this is something that can be useful for my environment? and this only applies to spokes and not hubs right??
-
You could assign a custom property to all your Layer 2/3 nodes than use the report writer to pull the data using the following data source.
-
Very handy report!! A++

jhaas what i am i doing wrong here? I updated the custom Custom Properties i have for my two types of routers and I get query is not valid. removed the line comments. otherwise looks to be a very useful report, thanks for sharing SELECT ST.Nodes.Caption AS [Device], '/Orion/images/StatusIcons/Small-' + ST.Nodes.StatusIcon…

I can only speak for NPM/NTA/NCM that you don't need your server to be joined to a domain that I am aware off, you can install it on standalone servers if needed.

Hi try this and let us know how you went. but ensure you have installed Network Atlas with a local administrator account and not a domain account. After starting Network Atlas, why do I get an error stating Network Atlas has encountered a problem and needs to close? …
