Thanks for the headsup! It is greatly appreciated.

I completely agree with @"Fred.Loucks" and @"ahawkins72" on this one. The study material alone is akin to an Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole, and the stressful PSI experience, although it has gotten 'better?', brings about Steven King level nightmares. CE gets my up vote.

This sounds like good news... I'm really looking forward to checking out the new study guides.

@"giovana.prado" There is a new tool for exporting ATLAS maps so that you can Import them into Orion Maps. It was recently released and we have been testing it out. It is limited in functionality so some things will not transfer well. Its not perfect, but can get you started. Contact support.

@"[Deleted User]" is right. Some are intuitive, but in our documentation, we identify them as whatever we want.

How will that affect the SCP certified status of those who currently hold one of those certifications? I have an NTA certification that I passed last year 2023. Is the certified status still good for the 3 years from passing, or will I be stripped of the SCP certified status once NTA is retired?
-
Unfortunately @"stuartd" , your experience is not unique. You and I should talk...
-
Awesome... then you are off to a great start. When do you plan on taking the exam?
-
I was just about to suggest the same thing. That would be the best place to start... Do you @"osvict" , have access to the SolarWinds Customer Success ACADEMY?
-
Good Luck with your exam preparation. Let me know if I can help...
-
A good number of DOD SolarWinds support positions now require SCP certification. Just like any other IT industry certification, it will separate you from those who don't have it, and that can only be a good thing. It did help me get my current position.

Apologies, I guess this was posted in the wrong forum.

This sounds familiar. Our problem was the service stopping and not starting back up again. Check the windows services on the server where your SFTP server resides. Make sure that the SolarWinds SFTP Server service is set to startup automatically. Then, Right click the SolarWinds SFTP Server service, click on the 'recovery'…
-
So what did you do to fix it?
-
@"ArchieG" , According to current documentation at documentation.solarwinds.com/.../ncm-introduction.htm Supported vendors include Cisco, Cisco ASA, Cisco Nexus, Dell, Adtran, Arris, Aruba, Nortel, Nortel Alteon, Nortel BayStack, Extreme, Marconi, Radware, Netscreen, Motorola, HP, Netscalar, Juniper, Foundry, and F5.
-
On the higher end, please add a good full size regulation corn hole set... with the new SolarWinds logo of course. .

We are evaluating a jump from 2023.3.1 to 2024.1. It is still cooking, but seems solid. No major issues at this time. I will post updates. My co-worker likes the the blue roll over main menu, and the solid SolarWinds icon.
-
Like @"KMSigma.SWI" said, virtual classes are where to start. There are some coming up in March 2024. Always great content, good questions from attendees, and resources that you can use to study. If you have any questions, reach out.

Just based on the feature comparison above, Rancher is the more versatile product. Why limit yourself from the get go?
-
Congratulations!

Interested.

My organization is interested in features that make it easier to report on or display in a widget all expiring certificates that meet date requirements. We have tried all of the scripts, and SAM application monitors that exist for this, but it really takes some tweaking, and displaying the data in a usable format is very…
-
Out of the box monitoring for certificate expiration.
-
Just recently we set up monitoring for expired certificates.
-
We don't really have any issues getting management/section/user buy in. I just wish the sections would use the tools to their fullest capabilities. There is a lot of functionality that they are not using.
-
The biggest challenge that I have is getting the end user to define the actual monitoring requirement. Orion takes care of the rest.
-
Customers can also call in directly to the service desk for support.
-
Did your feature request produce any fruit? I cannot believe that this subject has not gotten more attention. These posts are pretty old, so I am hoping that the question was answered in another forum. Please let me know if you have gotten any further with this.
-
Thanks John for the response. I will take a look at that resource and see if it works for requirement.
-
Works like a charm...Thanks very much. Allen
