This would be so great. Good idea.

I've had problems before with using "Node Added" due to it resetting when you move a node to a different polling engine. For example: Node xesx-test-sw01 added to swpol-03 When all that was done was move the node from swpol-02 to swpol-03.

Why not just edit the interface thresholds for these values that you need to be critical and warning, then use that for an alert based on the post above? SolarWinds is already tracking errors and discards.

Yes I definitely see a lot of companies will be fleeing the platform because of this. Look what happened with VMWare. Its truly sad to see after you've been bringing business to a company for over a decade. Everyone I talk to is looking at other options. Its threefold right. Complete removal of perpetual licensing model.…

This is a big need. Hopefully it gets addressed. Users need access to the Manage Nodes screen having full node management privs. Maybe just separate deleting nodes/interfaces from node management?
-
And don't lock down half the abilities of the demo/test license. I'm looking at you Network Topology Mapper.

Is there a new WWWO post available for NPM?

I upvoted this request, because its needed. Though I've also got a table created on one of our Summary pages showing who put devices into maintenance mode, when, for how long, and the latest note on that device. Its proven really helpful. I started with the data here: Report showing user who unmanaged elements and muted…

Some of the 30 day trial licenses have limitations vs the normal version. See NTM. What is the point threshold for MVP status?
-
No idea why the system was not built this way to begin with. Why are requests prefixes INC? So strange.
-
Is there any chance we will see an update here soon?
-
This is a no brainer. Definitely needed.

This would be a great help. For now I'm set to restoring backups for any decent set of historical data. I'm sure you can do these tasks manually with SQL, by setting up a replication database, but you would lose the Solarwinds front-end. Unless you had an additional license of NPM that you used to query/display that…

Yeah you just need custom pollers to pull that data, then you can create queries to update your worldmap lat/long with those values.

I've tested this in dev and it worked great. It will help me get the NOC from using CMD prompt windows for constant pings. Looking to jump into 12.2 from 12.1 in January.

This would be amazing. Many of us have more than 1 instance deployed. Rebuilding the views to match can be very time consuming, and prone to human error. Exporting the views can also serve as a backup of the views. In case personnel change them later.

It is a mixed environment. I would take someone with a decade of experience being a SolarWinds admin vs someone with a recent SCP certification. Though I would not say the same thing if being a SolarWinds admin was not part of the person's main job. Often people have "experience with SolarWinds" meaning they have used it.…

Yes support has been very terrible. Not just here and there but with every ticket. Essentially "restart SW services" "reboot" "maybe your user is not an admin"! Give me a break. I'm honest in every support review as such they have stopped reaching out to me after the review.

Have the required ports opened and perform some tests to validate. Ensure you have enough bandwidth and no other security limitations that would limit proper communication. I would recommend using host file entries or the DB, APE, and Primary to prevent any DNS problems between the domains.

You're missing tunnel statistics from Viptelas. Sure the interfaces show up, but none of the configured tunnels. Requiring IP SLA or some other custom solution. If not available from SNMP surely you could use CLI as with Network Insight for ASA.

I actually ended up needing to ssh into the Linux servers and manually configure the Solarwinds agent. After that everything worked fine. Changed the DNS to IP and entered in all of the login information.
-
I am having this same problem on a few Linux servers. Particularly frustrating. Already confirmed no networking issues. Also tried complete removal of the agent from the server and fresh install of brand new agent. Still no good. I've created a case with Support and uploaded the agent diagnostics. Hopefully I'll hear…

This is still a problem with SCM. For alerts we cannot specify what part of the baseline changed. Some updates are frequent and automatic system updates being captured by SCM and alerting due to the baseline being different. We need an ability to filter out certain profiles from baseline alerts. In alert configuration it…

So you added both DBs onto the server you mentioned that has 20 cores and 192G of RAM (128 usable)? My environment is about 2/3 the size of yours, but I am limited to 8 cores on the SQL server.
-
Did you finish the install you mentioned in your comment? I am in a similar situation. I don't really want to spin up a new db server, due to SQL licensing and management. I also don't want to overload my current database server. The "Orion multi-module system guidelines" link posted above includes NTA, but the old…

Can you add a condition into the data source to select only the Virtual Clusters that match the custom properties you entered?
-
This is a dead link.
-
Not the before and after really, just all of the outputs from the assigned profiles, grouped by profile. If that makes sense. To get the data right now I took the output from each of the profile areas and added a SWQL custom query to the device, on the Server Configuration tab of the Node Details page.

Have you looked into the Remote Office Pollers they are working on? Its like a mini polling engine with better latency abilities, but I don't know how many elements you're looking at with your 300ms area.
