that makes sense.. but when I get to the part about the default syslog facility setting, what is that set to? Or does it matter?
-
You are correct in that someone clicked on scan for new nodes.. I did however that shouldn't have added an ip address as a node for a system that is not on my network should it? I mean it is only supposed to add nodes that existing on my network should it not?. (unless we have a tunnel of some sort to this outside node)…

We are considering Cisco ISE because there are some other things we want to be able to do as well and solarwinds just does not support the advanced features we are looking for. However, it actually does have the ability to shut down a port based on an alert. I've never given my solarwinds setup r/w access to our switches…
-
Thanks very much. that did the trick.!
-
So this provides me some of the info I was looking for.. The ip address can be found by hovering over the little colored dot. The only odd issue i have is one of my nodes is showing up twice for two different days. How do i not show ones that are up? I don't care if they are up. I only want the ones that are currently…

I just upgraded some of our stuff, and discovered they changed the damn database AGAIN with NTA.. wtf solarwinds?! Make up your damn minds.
-
Jen, I am not aware of SAM working for anything more than servers and applications. (I'll leave it up to Solarwinds support to actually respond with a confirmation though) As far as solarwinds offering something like Cisco Meraki, if you have Meraki do NOT expect to get anything close to that type of information through…
-
What information are you getting from te MR16 and MR24s?
-
Yup, all my other email alerts are working just fine. Seems to be just this one alert. I ended up deleting it and now I'm attempting to create a new one. Of course I have to figure out what hoops to jump through and what the correct Latin phrases are to use!
-
The problem with this (now this is according to Meraki support) is that Solarwinds is not requesting the information. Supposedly Meraki provides all of the same info as what you can see in their cloud controller but solarwinds doesn't ask for that info. I've opened a case with Solarwinds support and I'm still waiting to…

??

So is this the mib for the cloud controller? How do we make use of this file?

Please let your Nimble rep know to add your name to the Request for enhancement item (RFE ID: AS-52079) and how important it is to you! This is to get Nimble to provide the needed data for Solarwinds Storage manager to work with nimble arrays!!
-
We own several Nimble Arrays and it is the one reason we did not purchase storage manager/monitor because it wasn't one that you could monitor. I know if you put it in you'll have at least one customer that will be purchasing it.
-
Well, I guess this is either new to everyone here or perhaps no on uses this forum anymore? In any event the fix for this has to do with an update to exchange. I'm closing this and flagging as resolved.
-
So yet another update.. I was able to talk with my Nimble Rep and they told me they had added my name to the list of folks that have asked Nimble for this feature. Please let your Nimble rep know to add your name to the Request for enhancement item (RFE ID: AS-52079) and how important it is to you! This is to get Nimble to…

So I wanted to update everyone on this with the latest info I've been able to extract from both parties thus far. From some folks at Solarwinds I spoke with they are just waiting on Nimble to add to their API performance data. They have worked with Nimble and Nimble has everything they need its just a matter of adding this…
-
There is currently no way to get this. I've been asking for it for over 5 years and solarwinds always says they'll think about it. There was a rumor that it was being seriously looked at to include in the next update but I think that's not been confirmed by anyone in solarwinds that would know. I too would love to have…

So I wanted to chime in my two cents here. First while i like the product suite (to a point) EVERY UPDATE IS FRAUGHT WITH PROBLEMS FOR US!! I have performed the upgrades since we became a customer 5 years ago. Right around the 2nd to 3rd year of us being with you things suddenly changed with upgrades and it became a real…
-
STILL HAVING THIS PROBLEM NO MATTER WHAT BROWSER I USE! I cleared my cache rebooted nothing. No points just sits at loading forever.
-
Still not seeing any points showing up.

Thanks for the info..Hopefully SolarWinds will get the rest of the information the Merakis provide soon... You can only get very basic information for the APs. It doesn't show the connected clients which according to Meraki support they have provided but Solarwinds is not grabbing for some reason.

have you tried this? This should be a link to a help guide on how to forward kiwi logs to another system. Kiwi Syslog Server

I to am seeing ridiculously slow reporting times. I'm not very impressed yet with this product to be perfectly honest. Trying to find information is harder than it should be. So we did some digging into this and worked with support. Part of our problem was the sheer number of events coming in and the reports program just…

I too would like to see this integrated with Orion with more than just up or down status. Would be nice if Netscaler supported netflow.
-
We are unable to get any real monitoring of our netscaler and we are currently examining Nagios, and several other alternatives to replace solarwinds since they have no plans to ever add in netscalers, nimble sans and numerous other devices.
