yes it can but it doesn't come with a precanned report for it. I wrote several custom reports that do this very thing. I then email it out nightly to our engineering teams so they can correct the hosts.

The SQL is not compatible with named instances as far as I've found. You will need to update it... As I'm sure you found with service and perfmon checks, named instances are not a whole lot of fun to get setup.
