All of the unknown interfaces in my environment are either duplicates of actual interfaces on devices or are "Unknown" because SNMP has failed at some level. I have no idea why the duplicates show up. Granted I have never been too concerned with it. I just wanted to add my situation to this thread.

I am looking for more of a tool that I can use to Audit. The idea is that once a quarter I would like to be able to tell a department that "okay, these 25 IP's changed from the last quarter. Please look into this" But you're telling me I can't have that. I suppose that if the changes are that important that they need to be…

NPM needs to go first as it's home base for a lot of these modules. Then i would do NCM as it creates it's own database as well. After that, I don't believe that there is any real particular order that these applications need to be installed in.

I have updated my NPM to 9.5.1 and also updates SQL 2k5 to SP3. It's been a week no without any failures. This is great news as it hasn't gone this long without a reboot since rollout. These updates look promising. Though I am no longer getting Errors in the Event log, they have changed to Informational. So the issues…
