Hi Christine, +1 for 'This is not going to work for us'. As an example, we currently happily run an NPM SL2000 installation on one Virtual with the database on another. With this setup monitoring the trunk and routed ports for approx 190 devices, we have approx 600 interfaces monitored. Most of our switches are in high…

Please add me to the Roles and Permissions feature request.

I am having no luck at all with ESX stats under NPM 10. and getting nowhere with support. Can a SW engineer please look over #162310 Thanks, Aaron

Please add me to this feature request.

Hi Mike, Your kb article seems to imply that routers are firewalling UDP packets and this as well as broken DHCP implementations is the issue. routers on the network should be configured to allow UDP packets between the Orion APM server and the DHCP server on selected portsand Some DHCP servers (for example Internet…

We would like a single discovery engine that does all the discovery for all products. Absolutely, this single scan should also scan for IOS DHCP scopes (if IPAM is installed), IP SLA Monitors (if IPSLA is installed). etc, etc, etc.. As for the backend, This could all be stored in the NPM nodes table, currently we have the…

I know this is an old thread, but... I came across this issue as well and my solution was to run powershell with: powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass Thanks, Aaron

I could really use custom attributes as well. Eg. In NPM, each Node/Interface/Volume has a custom property called 'Alert_Group', this allows us to use one alert for all nodes and use this property to define who the alert goes to. I can't see how I can replicate this in APM at the moment. It looks like I will need to create…

I will add you to the existing enhancement request 1+ Is this feature in v10?

Is there a DHCP relay involved in the matter above? Sorry, I'm not sure what you are asking. Is there a DHCP relay in between the Orion server and the DHCP server? Yes, but as Orion sends a unicast packet (not broadcast) the relay doesn't see it so the relay is not involved. In this case the Orion server *is* the relay…

This would be useful for us as well, the current 'upload config' doesnt really cut it we need something similar to 'copy tftp startup' where the running config is not touched but the startup is updated. Heres our scenario. All maintenance spares are stored in a lab rack, hot and ready to go, these are all in Orion so we…

We append '&Printable=TRUE' to all the views for our NOC screens, this chops offthe logo and the menu bars. The page name and date still takes up far too much room at the top for my liking but I will look at that one day. Thanks, Aaron

Yes Please. Sign me up. Thanks, Aaron

Hi Doug, Yes, as you suggest above, if I change the root, files will be stored in the new root. My issue is that I do not appear to be able to have a folder structure *within* the root, but only for uploaded files. If I upload a file to /my_appliance_folder/backup.file, the tool writes the file to C:\TFTP_Root\backup.file…

+1. I would love this as well. I am looking at writing some Netflow reports and being able to specify a date in the querystring (or some other method) would be great... Thanks, Aaron

Yes you can configure HTTPS, But be aware that if your organisation uses Internet Explorer (mine does), you will get an annoying popup because the html references mixed content (http and https). I have had a case open about this since NPM 10 was launched if any SW staff are interested (#162637). I didn't have this issue in…

You have 2 options here. 1. Find the OID that changes when the contact changes to open, poll this and alert when it changes to open. We looked at this with our APC environmental monitors but decided to go with option 2. 2. Have the device alert you when an contact changes. * Instant event messaging by TCP/UDP/email/SNMP…

So in the end it appears that for me, the DHCP User Experience Monitor is pretty much useless in its current form. +1 For us as well. Please SW, include the relay agent IP address... Aaron

Hi Aaron - this is a feature request we get quite often - and it's on the road map! Sorry we can't help you sooner than that. Thanks Christine, I assume you have a feature request somewhere that details whats required? If I am going to do this manually, is there anything else I need to merge, or just the config history?…

Flow Data :) We already have all the nodes and interfaces added to NPM and NTA, we just want all the historical info. I have had a brief look around. Does SW have a DB schema that describes what goes where? Thanks, Aaron

Thanks Doug, I haven't logged a case yet, I was looking to see if it was a known issue or not. Would you like me to log a case? Thanks, Aaron

Hi Christine, I have opened #164972 Thanks, Aaron

+1 for CNR, We use it strictly as DNS/DHCP and are evaluating IPAM for IP management. Thanks, Aaron

* Cisco DHCP Support - we've got Microsoft DHCP, but we've had many requests for being able to pull leases from Cisco DHCP servers as well. Just for clarification, what is a Cisco DHCP server? is that Cisco IOS DHCP Server (router) or Cisco Network Registrar (DNS/DHCP Application). My vote is for both :)

This one will output DD:HH:MM:SS. Create an advanced SQL report and drop the below code in the SQL tab. SELECT Nodes.NodeID, Nodes.Caption AS 'Node Name', Nodes.MachineType AS 'Machine Type', Nodes.LastBoot AS 'Last Boot', ( CONVERT(varchar(6), FLOOR(systemuptime / 86400)) + ':' + RIGHT('0' + CONVERT(varchar(6),…

* 1 - This is massive for me, Eg. we pull temperature from 5-6 types of devices, all with their own OID, We would like to be able to display them all as 'Temperature' but Alas... * 2 - Also from multiple OID's as well, something like a Double Triple Chart like - I would also like to do a top 10 on the Display Name - bullet…

Bummer, wrong forum. Can this please be moved to the NPM forum?
