This is one for another division within my corporation. An office moved and they had setup the server room one floor below the restrooms. Not sure how it all happened, but one of the pipes burst and flooded the server room. Wish I had more details, but this is what I was told.

For me, just setting up the VMware alerting has saved me a lot of time. Network Admin prior to me never set anything up and was checking only when there was an issue.

Symantec End-Point AV protection, is the biggest end point upgrade that we did this year. We are planning on migrating to Windows based files servers by the end of the year, from Novell. There are several little thing that we are doing like MS O365 upgrades and starting to deploy Windows 10.

The biggest issue we have experience to-date was Cyber Monday. The employees that was at work spent most of the morning surfing the web shopping. This impacted out Azure databases and slowed down the network. A quick modification of the firewall resolved the issue.

We use a FortiGate firewall to block all shopping site, only on Cyber Monday. This is not the best way, but it does limit users from shopping online during all the sales.

marcoswithanoh on the question for Nov. 13 it is licensed by "number of active user accounts". nowhere does it say anything about "Service Accounts". Even the response for incorrect answer does not say anything about service accounts. So is service accounts kinda of a given?
